Numb

Ding Dong.
The unsettling melody of our door bell ringing startled me, as I accidentally squished Doyun's shoulders a little too hard.
Luckily the redhead didn't even flinch, since her eyes have been shut for solid twenty minutes now, as I only now noticed my cousin being in a deep slumber.
Unconsciously a smile made it's way onto my lips when the same annoying ringing made me come back to my senses.
Rolling my eyes, I unwillingly let go of my cousin's shoulders, as I lazily dragged my feet towards the door.
Another ding dong rushed past my ears.
Damn, whoever it is, they are getting on my nerves with the lack of their patience.
As I quickened my steps, I roared a loud "Coming!" Loud enough for the person out there to hear, but quiet enough for Doyun to keep exploring her dreamland.
"What?!" knotting my eyebrows, I unlocked the door and aggressively pushed it open, only to instantly receive a pinching feeling on my neck.
Or should I even say, in my neck.
Automatically my hand landed on the sensitive spot, as the eyes of mine immediately widened, forming into two big, round, dark orbs.
Is it..
..a knife?
My thought being confirmed, when I felt blood dripping down the length of my neck.
"Who-" I was about to question the person leaning in the doorframe with a smug expression on, but the second I laid my eyes on them, I felt the knife being pulled out of me mercilessly.
Catching only a 0.001 second glimpse of the person's face, I could figure out their gender.
Male.
Not being able to study his face any longer, the sight before me painted itself black, as my body became numb, not even noticing nor feeling how I collapsed on the floor.
...
The body of mine, which was just now, just a moment ago, feeling numb, twitched, making my heart rate a hundred times higher than it should be, I shot my eyes open, only to find myself placed on my couch, the wound on my neck long gone.
It was just a bad dream.
Lightly wiping the cold sweat drops off my forehead, I exhaled a frustrated breath, still trying to normalise the beating of my poor heart.
Keys dangling, door unlocking, I jerked my head towards the hallway, as I was being greeted by a low groan.
"Ugh," as Doyun was struggling with her shoes, again, she continued, "I so hate that place."
Wait..
