Nya, quickly got up from the red sofa of the restaurant, where she and the others were

"I'm going to see if he's okay" Nya said, before leaving the group

JAY POV (in third person)

I'm so stupid.. fuck..

why did I react like this

it was nothing!

also because Cole did not mean that really .. right?

oh stop it Jay! it is obvious that it is! I know it!

Jay put his hands on the counter, where there were the sinks

he opened the tap and washed his face

and then stayed for a few seconds looking at himself in the mirror

"what am I doing" he whispered

not even after a few seconds that he had been alone, he saw through the reflection of the mirror the door open slowly

"Jay? are you okay?" asked a female voice

as soon as he realized that it was Nya, Jay immediately changed his face and wiped his face with a tissues

"hey Nya, what are you doing here?" Jay asked with a fake smile

"you ran away here, and I wanted to see if you was okay" she said as she closed the bathroom door behind her

now it's just me and Nya

and this puts me in tremendous discomfort now..

"oh yes I'm fine" he lied, throwing the tissues in the trash "let's go back to the others" he said hoping she would accept, without asking for anything else

so he approached the door.. but her hand caught his wrist, making him stop

however, she was still turned to the other way

Jay had tried to see her face through the mirror.. but he didn't see anything

Nya had her face lowered to the ground

she looked at the yellow and green tiles of the bathroom

"Nya.. c'mon, let's go back" he said softly, but hiding the confusion inside

there was a few more seconds of silence

but then she turned to him

"do you trust me, Jay?" she asked him, without any kind of expression or tone

"of course Nya.. how could I-"

"so why did you run away when Cole said those words?" she simply asked, without ever leaving my wrist

Jay opened his mouth to let anything out, but the voice didn't come out

he was surprised by that question

"Nya.. I.. I trust you. and I love you with all my self- but" he said as he looked Nya in her eyes

"But what?" she asked as her eyes looked dull

"it hurt me.. that's all" he let out, returning to lean on the bathroom counter, but this time he didn't look in the mirror

he didn't have the courage

after which he heard Nya's light footsteps approaching and then stopping behind him

Jay felt something warm in his back and belly
