"Kim Yeoni-ssi! Kim Yeoni-ssi! Is it true that you're having an affair with Bae Joohyun?"
"Jennie-ssi! What do you say about his unfaithfulness? Are you still his girlfriend?"
"Jisoo-ssi! Jisoo-ssi! A word please! What do you say about your brother?"

It was 2 pm on the first day of the new year. The sun was shining brightly, and I felt blinded by what felt like thousands of camera flashes blinking rapidly around us, snapping our pictures like machine guns as soon as we stepped out of the car. I looked around, and was shocked to find a crowd of reporters—hundreds, even—had gathered around the entrance to Blackpink's apartment in Hannam, undoubtedly trying to learn more about the bombshell article that dropped this morning.

I was at Jennie's apartment last night, celebrating New Year's Eve together with Jennie, Irene, and Jisoo, when we heard the news. We were having sex, and after we finished, Irene checked her phone and noticed that there were missed calls from Yeri. She called her back, only to find that she was at the IPG HQ with Hyejin and IU.

The Spymaster only told us that a Dispatch article about my supposed affair with Irene was about to be released in the morning, so we should prepare for a lot of media attention. Jennie and I took it casually initially, but Irene and Jisoo were concerned. IU herself was sounding stressed, before telling us that she'd tell us more in a conference call with all of us today.

After hearing this, all four of us couldn't sleep. We discussed this until it was 3 am in the morning, before Jisoo finally fell asleep out of exhaustion. Soon, Jennie, Irene, and I followed her example.

As we woke up this morning, social media in South Korea and all over the world were exploding with reactions and theories to my supposed affair with Irene. Sure, a number of them defended us, saying that the picture must have been taken out of context, and that I was merely holding her hand because I was being courteous to her, but the majority of the comments were negative, condemning my behaviour.

Some even went as far as calling me an ungrateful bastard, for I was already dating the hottest idol in Korea and still had the audacity to have an affair with Irene. The nastier ones directed their attacks at Irene, calling her a bitch for being the third person in an otherwise scandal-free Kim-Kim Couple. All in all, the situation was chaotic.

YG had released a statement earlier today, distancing themselves from the news, declaring that they had nothing to do with my relationship with Jennie or Irene, while Irene received a call from BoA, the CEO of SM Entertainment herself, asking her to clarify this.

What amazed me was how Irene handled the situation with absolute calmness. She denied the news, but she asked BoA to refrain from releasing a statement to the media and to give herself some time to deal with this on her own. BoA agreed, wishing her luck, and sending SM Entertainment's bodyguards to secure Red Velvet's dorm from the inevitable throng of reporters coming their way.

We walked the short distance from the parking lot to the apartment while being mobbed by the reporters. I was beginning to wish that YG had sent their bodyguards to protect Jisoo, Jennie, and I, when suddenly a team of tall, black suited men parted the sea of reporters, opening a way for us to enter the apartment. I saw that Mr. Park, IU's personal bodyguard, was the one leading the team, and I felt grateful. IU must have sent her bodyguards to protect us.
