Chapter 8

The hotel room was small but it would do until I got the courage to see my family tomorrow. The Walgreens bag was still sitting in the corner with the box in it. Did I want to do this? Should I just go back to London and forget everything. I was being stupid, I came here for a reason.

I grabbed the bag with the hair dye in it. As I got in the bathroom Emma was staring back at me in the mirror. Blue eyed, blonde haired Emma Fitzgerald. The girl who became a well known English model in a month, the girl who dated super stars, and the girl who left her friends back in England.
"Well Emma it's been a hell of a ride with you. Thanks for 2 months." I said.
I grabbed the hair dye and started. I hesitated as I put it in, but I scrubbed the dye in and stopped. As I waited for the dye to set so I could take a shower, I avoided any mirrors. My alarm went off and I hopped in the shower. I watched as the brown dye washed down the drain. My blue contacts were out away for now.

I got out of the shower afraid to look. As I wrapped my towel around me I stepped out. I took a deep breath and looked up. A girl with her dad's green eyes and brown hair was staring at her. She looked familiar, she looked like she was in a lot of pain, unlike Emma. She was nervous, she was guilty, and she was scared. This was the girl who left her life back in Wisconsin, the girl who left everyone she knew broken hearted, the girl who promised never to come back. The girl that promised she would never fall for him again stared at her. It came as a whisper but faintly the girl said,
"Hi Julia."
