Always Been You

Chapter 27

                           Malakai's POV

"We have two  ways the game could go now. We could recast someone else or here's the option we're hoping you go with."

Rose and I looked at each other.

"Rosemary is there any chance you'd like to be in this?"

"What would I be doing?"

"You'd be the wife of Mal's character. Her name is Kaitlyn."

"And who the hell does he play?"

"Maverick Wayne."

"I don't know what to do."

"Honestly he doesn't also."

"Thanks Ashley?"

"He just does what we tell him to."

"I'm not sure how smart that would be. Considering I'd be taking her role.."

"Actually since this a completely different character you're not stealing anyone's role."

"What would I have to do now?"

"We'd have to start with a face scan."

"Huh?"

"It's so the character looks like you."

"Oh! That's this job?"

"Yeah. I told you the other one doesn't start until this one comes out."

"No you didn't."

"I didn't?"

"Nope. This is the first I'm hearing about it."

"Is this something you'd like to do?"

"Sure. I'll give it a try."

"Hell yeah!"

"Alright. We'll do this backwards. Do you think you can start the voice overs next Friday?"

"I don't see a problem with that."

Ashley brought us to a room and had Rose sit down on a chair. They took pictures of her doing certain expressions.

I love seeing her happy.

I hate seeing her upset.

It upsets me when I see her cry.

It hurts when I don't know how to help her.

She's been through actual hell.

She deserves to stay happy.

I hope I can be part of the reason she does.

I could tell she was having fun. I couldn't help but smile.

I haven't seen her smile that brightly in I don't know how long.

This girl deserves the world.

I wish we didn't lose those six months.

A few weeks later we started doing scenes with her. I walked into the room she was in a saw something I don't think I've ever seen. She was in the middle of getting her makeup done.. Her hair was in an half up half down style.

"You look funny with all those dots on your face."

"So do you!"

We walked out to the set and saw Dustin was in the middle of pretending to get his ass kicked.

"PUNK WE GOTTA GO OVER LINES FOR THE SCENE!"

"I KNOW AND THEN WE ACTUALLY HAVE TO DO IT! I'M AWARE!"
