She turned left, then she turned right. Following a silhouette -like figure somewhere in the forest. She could see it clearly, lying like a corpse underneath the soil was; Illumi.

Once she entered 700 meters away from her target, she quickly switched her nen to zetsu-- still quietly zooming into the forest. She knew that if she wasn't careful Illumi would pick up the familiar feeling of her nen, and if that happened-- busted.

After entering 200 meters near Illumi she changed pace, actually started thinking how in the world was she supposed to get Illumi's badge. Will she just dig him out or something?

"I can't just dig him out! Stupid!" She said to herself, slightly hitting her head for having such a stupid thought. She kept running however, finally entering the 100 m away from Illumi. Her nen shuts down, the silhouette she was following vanishing. But she knew already knew where Illumi was, so for a moment she slows down, intensifying her Zetsu, and then thinks of a plan on how to exactly get Illumi's badge.

She was gnawing on her nails, unable to come up with anything plausible to do. Illumi won't budge even if she begged him to. And the man was near emotionless, she wouldn't be able to shake his feelings.

"How stressful!" She clawed at her hair, feeling more irritable than usual. She was already at her limits because no matter how much potential she had if her body couldn't handle the burden, then it is all useless.

' I have to think of something now, or I'm going to collapse. I'm going to lose...'

Her eyes went feral, the thought of defeat dawning at her. She didn't know how far and just how strong the nen she could possess but at that moment. Logic flew out the window, the only thing resonating in her mind was ' I can't lose. He'll abandon me.'

So she did what her instict told her.

Eliminate all possible obstacles. And win.

She released the refined aura that she has been honing for the past few months. She enhanced her fists then punched straight to the ground. The same ground where Illumi was sleeping at. The man jolted up, feeling an incredible amount of bloodlust going through the air. It was a bloodlust he knew, yet was unknown to him at the same time.

'Ah... Hisoka. Ie, Y/N.'

The ground shook and crumbled under her tiny figure, and once the earth shattered beneath her feet, Illumi resurfaced. His pins already out of his face and his iconic long black hair flew all over the place.

"I'm your target then? I'd like to avoid fighting  you if possible but I need to finish this exam. Gomen, Y/N." He suddenly vanished from her sight, not leaving a trace of his existence.

"Running Illu-nii?! Come back here!" She ran after the faint trail of aura and was led inside the forest. The trees giving Illumi the advantage.

But she was startled when she felt a pin stab her forearm, an attack from her blindspot.

"Who said I was running?"
