After a long awaited rest the final part of the exam finally came upon the determined contestants. They were called one by one for no exact reason, however, Y/N already had an idea on why they were being called.

What confused her was why she was being called. As far as she knew she wasn't an official part of the exam, she was more of a  challenger. Not a competitor. She was sure her presence was only allowed to keep Hisoka at bay and to provide amusement for Netero and the others. Mostly for Netero's enjoyment.

So once she entered the room her gaze immediately landed on the frail looking Netero.

'He isn't frail. Not at all.'

Y/N scoffed remembering how much of a pain it was to take the ball from Netero.  She felt slightly bitter at the memory. But the bitterness aleviated once she remembered that she won against this transcendent being. She felt a sense of arrogance.

"Jiji..." She sat down in front of him.

"Y/N, you must be thinking why you're here, yes?"

"Mm.. A bit." She stopped herself from saying what she had in mind, thinking it was better to let the elderly speak first.

"As we both know, you - Y/N Morou - is already a Hunter, yes?"

She nods her head to confirm.

"However...

You are an unofficial Hunter. Because you are far to young to qualify. And was only accepted due to your massive potential and skill."

Y/N remembered the day she had first met Netero. And how she became a Hunter. It was a long story. But long story short she was left alone in Hisoka's floor and was bored to death. So, even with exclusive instructions from Hisoka to not go out, she did.

She wandered to the lower floors and there she found out that she could join in the battles in the Arena. Even when she was scorned and laughed at, she joined. Events leading to another she meets Netero when she first took step in the 200th floor. And she was forever grateful for him, if it wasn't for him, she would've probably been trampled on once she fought on the arena.

Netero was straight to the point, he discouraged the 6-year-old from going to the 200th floor. And with his gentle smile and brief and very vague explanation of nen,  she complied. With the condition of learning its basics.

Netero still remembered it clearly. The eyes of the young prodigy that was overflowing with talent.

"Tell me the basics. I won't ask for more. I will find it out on my own."

Netero felt the chills from her determined eyes once more and now a year after that fateful encounter they sat in a room a few moments away from the fourth stage of the hunter exam.

'How scary.' Netero thought.

Netero smiled after reminiscing back to their first meeting.

"But of course, I can make exemptions. I am the Chairman after all. So then, do you want to take this chance to be a fully-fledged hunter, Y/N?"
