Yuca tells Sam to make sure I really go to the audition.Don't even know how she managed to drag Sam into my audition.She surely would make a good manager.*Smile*
Sam-"So looks like I'll babysitting you".
"You sure have a lot of time.You just agreed because she asked?"
"Yes.Because she was the one who asked."He seems surprised at his own words.
So we drive to the Xcel buiding for the auditions and walked inside.I don't have to bother with the paperwork-Kevin had already arranged.I just had to know my serial number which he had told me earlier.
Lots of people turned up.But it does not make me nervous.I'm probably much better than most of them .I have lots of years of practice and I have my bragging rights.
"No. 1418"
I heard my number so I stand up and go to the audition room.There are four people sitting behind a table.
"Are you 1418?Jeremy ?"
"Yes"
"You may proceed".
I sang -
Escaping nights without you
With shadows on the wall
My mind is running wild trying hard not to fall
You tell me that you love me
But say I'm just a friend
My heart is broken up into pieces...
When I finished one of the judges said-"Well done"
" Thank you".
The judges are discussing something.I cannot hear much.Finally one of them said"Jeremy,you pass.We will contact you.You may leave now".
"Thank you very much"I said and came out.
Sam stands up seeing me"So?How did it go?"
"What else?Don't you know your friend is a genius?"
"YOU PASSED!That's great.Let's go tell Yuca."
"Yuca?She must be in class"
"Oh".Sam looks dissapointed.
We called Lawrence"Come to our hangout place."
"Ok.Wait...why?"
Sam snatched my phone and shouts "J PASSED the audition.We are having a party".
"What.When did I...".Sam cuts in"Come fast."
"Isn't it time for your school to be over?"Sam asks.
"Yeah.Why?"
"YUCA"
"What about her?".
"Call her.Tell her you went."
So I called Yuca.She answers.
"Yes Jeremy.Did you go to the audition.Did you pass.Tell me..."
"Whoah.Slow down.Come to our place and I'll tell you."
"Your place?Where?"
Oh right.She doesn't know our place.
"Where are you?Still at school?Wait I'll come pick you up"
"Not at school.Already on the road."
"Wait there".
Soon as I put the phone down Sam asks"She's coming?Wait...I'll go instead of you...you wait here".
"Wait.Seriously what is up with you?She doesn't like strangers and I told her I'll come"
" But I'm not a stranger.We met last time"Sam complains.
"No.I'm going".
"But can I ..."
"No"I made Sam shut up and went outside.Something is seriously wrong with him today.
