Chapter 8

Rain

This is the day that everyone has been looking forward to. Since the event will take place in the afternoon, no classes will be held in the morning to allow the organizers to organize the entire event.

"Wala ka bang pasok?" tanong ni Dad nang umupo ako sa dining table.

"There will be an event later, we were told na huwag munang pumunta sa umaga" I responded.

"Kailan babalik si Varione dito? Imbetahan mo nga minsan nang makapaglaro kami" he said kaya't tinignan ko siya ng masama.

"Aren't you busy? How about the company?" I asked habang hinihiwa ko ang steak.

"Wala namang problema sa company kaya madami akong time" natatawang sambit niya. I just rolled my eyes and continued eating.

Habang kumakain ay naisipan kong bumili ng new dress with Nia. I haven't treated myself since last week. I'll need to buy a new one na.

I contacted Nia, and thankfully she did not declined. I'll also have to ask her what is her relationship with Aiden. She's not telling me about him e.

"Doesn't this one look good?" I said as I turned around so that she can evaluate the dress I was wearing.

"That looks amazing on you, if you'll wear it, everybody will stare at you," she said, smiling.She's right, it looks good on me.

May nakita akong old rose dress that will look good on Nia kaya kinuha ko 'yon at binigay sa kanya. Hindi siya gaanong bumibili ng mga gamit na para sa kanya. She's living by herself kasi her dad is an ass hole. Nia and I have been friends since elementary and luckily we are still close up until this day.

"You'll have to give this one a shot as well. I'm confident you'll look stunning in it " I said and handed her the oldrose dress.

" Promise, if you wear this today, you won't have to wear a matching dress for my birthday next year." I said. That's my hobby kasi, every birthday ko dapat matching outfit kami. I pouted when she declined. Kinulit ko siya nang kinulit hanggang sa pumayag na siya.

She put the dress on and I was pleasantly surprised. Nia is deadly gorgeous, she could be a model. No'ng high school nga kami ay maraming nagkakagusto kay Nia pero puro nalang siya aral kaya hindi niya pinapansin ang mga nagpapapansin sa kanya.

"I told you! You'd look great in it!" sambit ko. I even asked the workers.

"She's pretty 'di ba? She's my friend by the way" ani ko at tumango naman ang workers sa'kin. They even said na Nia looks like a model daw. Sinabi din nila na we are both pretty, well, bestfriend things.

Nang matapos kaming magshopping ay pumunta kami sa chowking, it's our favorite place kasi. We both love chao fan kaya lagi kaming kumakain dito kapag may pinupuntahan kami.

Pagkatapos naming kumain ay umuwi muna ako para mag-ayos para sa event mamaya. I heard na pagkatapos magperform ni Zack ay susunod ang banda nila Saturn. What are they going to sing kaya?

I put a simple make up lang, baka madami nanamang tumingin sa'kin kapag I put too much. I heard na bubuksan nila ang gate ng University para makadayo ang ibang students from other universities.

Nagsuot lang ako ng 2 inches block heels at isinuot ang beige dress. I also applied perfume and added accessories to compliment my outfit.

Nakita ko si Mang Fernando na nasa garden at nagmemeryenda kasama si Manang Flora. I'm planning to bring the car, baka kasi magabihan kami ng uwi.

"Grabe ganda talaga ni Ma'am" sambit ni Mang Fernando nang pumunta ako papalapit sa kanila.

"Oo nga e, wala ka pa bang jowa Ma'am?" tanong naman ni Manang Flora habang kumakain siya ng sandwich.
