Sitting next to Jeonghan felt like torture.

You couldn't help yourself being around such a gorgeous man. You've always felt this uneasiness whenever your heart raced around him since you thought that the two of you were only good friends.

You two would hang out together often, alone or with a group of friends. It just so happened that today, the friends that arranged the meeting were running a bit late.

You had walked to the meeting place but since no one aside from Jeonghan was there, he invited you into his car, so that you wouldn't have to stand out in the sun.

He was sitting in the driver's seat, looking around and mumbling to himself, asking where those guys are under his breath. His hands tapped the steering wheel anxiously but you couldn't help but stare at his side profile.

You kept repeating to yourself ‘he's just a friend’ but the more you repeated that the further your inner desire grew. Your eyes couldn't help but fall onto his beautiful lips and the fact that he kept wetting his lips habitually only made your heart race faster inside your chest.

Jeonghan turned to you, upon seeing you staring at him through the reflection of the glass.

His eyes were rather worried and when he turned his face, his hair fell in front of his face so naturally that it was attractive.

“What's wrong?” Jeonghan asked, failing to read your expression. He was confused about why you were staring at him so intently with your beautiful eyes that reflected the shining sun.

Your eyes met and without hesitation and full seriousness and sincerity, you replied, “I want to kiss you.”

Jeonghan was a bit baffled by your answer and it was only natural for him to react that way.

“What? Why?” He didn't even have time to think about his response, he was just so flustered by your answer. Usually, Jeonghan wouldn't be the one to become flustered but now, he found himself awkwardly smiling.

“Because I love you.”

The answer came from your heart and slipped through your mouth. You almost wanted to take back those words. You clenched your hands into fists on your thighs as you maintained eye contact with Jeonghan.

He stayed silent and stared into your eyes, seeing that you looked extremely serious about this.
The atmosphere was also quiet and perfect with soft music playing through the speakers of his car. Jeonghan began to wonder why did he have to set the atmosphere so right?

Now that you mentioned that you wanted to kiss him, Jeonghan couldn't stare into your eyes without glancing at your lips. Before he knew it, he was slowly drawing himself into your lips, getting closer and closer.

‘You want to kiss me because you love me?’ Jeonghan wondered to himself as his nose brushed against yours, your lips so close that they could touch any second.

‘Why am I complying?’ He asked himself.

Before he could stop himself to think rationally, his hands had already acted, placing themselves on the side of your neck. His eyes closed and he pulled your face closer to his.

Your lips touch briefly and Jeonghan could find himself gaining control of his mind again, telling himself to rethink what he was doing.

Yet, he didn't listen to his rationality. He couldn't.
Jeonghan pulled your face gently and kissed you again, this time more passionately. Some would have thought that he had been waiting for this moment his whole life.
