“Everyone participating in the three-legged race, please get in line with your partner!” The host said.

You were outside in a park, near the company building. It was a rather unique day, one that wouldn't come for another year. It was in the middle of spring and the company usually always hosts a little sports day for the employees.

The sun was shining down so brightly, lighting up the green grass. Usually, the sports day would be held inside a gym, but because of the nice weather, it was finalized to take place outdoors. A small breeze went past your nose.

You were also participating in the three-legged race, a race where two people have to tie one of their legs together to make it ‘three’ legs. Your partner was one of your male coworkers.

You were going against two other teams, one of which included your boyfriend, Jeonghan and Joshua.

As Jeonghan got into position, all the way on the opposite side from you, he couldn't help but glance in your direction. With the golden sun shining so brightly, it made you and your coworker look so romantic. This was unacceptable.

Jeonghan continued to glance at you. He was hoping maybe you'd notice him staring but you were too busy talking to this coworker who was smiling in a way too friendly fashion. You were also laughing, conversing back and forth. When the competition starts, you two would have to link arms or place your hands behind each other's backs.

What if you two trip? Jeonghan couldn't stop worrying. He just continued to glance, the jealousy rising. It was just one of those days where he was more sensitive than usual.

At last, Jeonghan turned away, sighing. ‘It's fine... It's completely fine... it's just a partnered game. It won't even last 5 minutes because I'll win and end it.’

Jeonghan scoffed to himself.

‘What the hell am I doing?’ He wondered, finding it so amusing that he was acting such a way. He was denying it in his head that he was jealous.

“Why are you scoffing?” Joshua asked, smiling. “Are you jealous?”

Jeonghan shook his hand waved his hand in denial.

“Why would I be? It's just a game.”

“You look extremely jealous in my eyes,” Joshua said, tilting his head to the side, analyzing his friend's face.

“No, I'm not. Let's just win, I want to get that medal.”

Joshua chuckled.

“Are you ready!??” The host asked, his voice booming.

Your arm was linked around your coworker's, your leg bound with his.

“Get set,” The host was holding a microphone, standing at the side of the racing course, his other hand raised high.

Jeonghan glanced at you again.

“Go!”

With perfect chemistry, Jeonghan and Joshua finished the race with ease. They walked at a fast pace, their footsteps matching. During the race, Joshua observed that Jeonghan was more competitive than usual, instructing how to walk and how much faster to quicken.

Joshua couldn't help but smile throughout the race.

He knew his friend was jealous as hell.

Jeonghan was sitting at the bench on the side of the park. A large tree behind the bench gave it the perfect amount of shade.

Jeonghan thought that when the race ends, everyone would have to stop, but no, that wasn't the case. He was now forced to watch you and your coworker walk like turtles to the finish line.
