Seungkwan stared out the window of the car, watching as he passed by people, animals, buildings, and cars.

"What are you thinking about?" Jihoon asked. He had noticed the youngest of the vocal unit had been blankly staring out the window as if his thoughts were somewhere else.

Seungkwan turned to Jihoon and smiled softly. "Don't tease me, okay?"

Jihoon chuckled. "I won't, what is it? What were you so deeply thinking about?"

"Someone I met. Someone I met twice already."

"By coincidence?" Jihoon asked.

Seungkwan nodded.

"Do you think you'll meet them again?"

Seungkwan thought for a bit. In the end, he just looked over at Jihoon who was sitting in front of him, and shrugged. "I have a good feeling about it though."

"Are you sure he's not just a regular who also frequents the cafe?" Your friend asked with a doubtful look in her eyes.

You leaned a bit closer and hit your fist gently against the table and nodded aggressively. "I'm telling you- it already happened twice! You know how random I am when it comes to going to this cafe!"

Your friend nodded a little, picking up a bit of the slice of strawberry cake with her fork. "Well, you do go to the cafe at random times... sometimes early in the morning, late at night right before it closes, in the middle of the day... I don't even know why you're so random when it comes to grabbing some cafe and desserts."

You looked away, a bit embarrassed. You knew that your random visits to the cafe were because you had inconsistent schedules. Sometimes you'd wake up late and decide to grab a coffee during noon, sometimes you were too lazy to grab coffee so you put it off until late at night, sometimes you'd want some sweets in the morning, staying consistent was way too hard. You didn't know how anyone managed it.

"Gosh, it'd be so strange if we meet for the third time in that same way..." You muttered, swirling the black straw round and round in the iced coffee cup. "You know, the last time we saw each other, I smiled at him but then I had my mask on so he didn't even know I was smiling at him- gosh, that's so embarrassing."

Your friend laughed. "You know, there's this saying, first 'Once is chance, twice is a coincidence, and thrice is fate'. If that fateful encounter happens again, maybe you two are meant to be."

You just laughed silently and sipped your coffee.
What if you two did meet again for the third time, in front of the cafe like the past two times?

-

The first time you two met was a little bit over a week ago.

When you first met him, you didn't think anything of it, aside from the fact that it made your heart race a little.

It was a sunny summer morning and birds were singing their songs, sitting on the branch of a nearby flowering tree. The white flowers were budding on the tree and occasionally, small white petals would fall, as if they fell from the sky.

You were on your phone, talking to your mother and heading to the cafe. You weren't really in a rush, taking your time, and getting distracted here and there by puppies on a walk or birds passing by in the sky.

"Are you going to work now?" Your mother asked.

"Yeah, I'm just stopping by the cafe first."

"So early? It's 6 am, are you sure they're opened?"
