...

Arbiter: Ahh~

...

She set the glass down on the arm rest, putting the bottle of Lagavulin on the ground next to her. She leaned back and closed her eyes, drifting to thought.

Arbiter: It's quite an experience knowing that your time is coming to an end...I actually feel scared for what's to come

Her hand drifted to her neck, where the locket of her past hung.

Arbiter: Seena...you are as much a part of me as I am you, and we both yearn for this moment with all our heart...

She reached down to the bottle and poured herself another shot, watching through the feed as Kurfürst marched through the Fortress towards her. Behind her is an untold amount of Siren bodies that tried their luck at defeating Kurfürst.

The woman was on her way to the room, but she was still some time away...perfect to relax enough for their confrontation.

Arbiter: Droid, get me another glass

From the corner of the room, a robot flew to a higher up section and grabbed a shot glass, bringing it down to Arbiter.

Arbiter: Thank you

*SLAM*

She looked to the door, which was thrown open from the force behind it.

Arbiter: What can I do for you Alpha?

Observer Alpha was sweating bullets, and she was clearly very afraid.

Alpha: Empress...you need to evacuate! Kurfürst is nearly here!

Arbiter:...

Alpha: Please your Majesty, this isn't time to play around! We need to bring you to safety!

Arbiter:*sigh* Alpha...

She stood up, pouring a glass.

Arbiter: I'm staying here because of Kurfürst...if I leave she'll cause even more damage to everything we've worked so hard on

Alpha: But...she's a monster, you nearly died the last time you fought her!

Arbiter: I know, but I have a way to handle it and make it more even ground

...

Alpha: Dammit...

Arbiter raised an eyebrow.

Arbiter: What's wrong?

Alpha: I...I want to know how you're so brave facing your death...what gives you that courage?!

...

Arbiter slowly walked towards Alpha, gently waving the shot glass filled with liquor.

Arbiter: I suppose it comes to the fact that I know how to handle my fear. I am afraid of course, but I'm braving it out and standing strong in the face of it

She pushed the glass forward, giving it to Alpha.

Arbiter: Here, drink it

...

Alpha slowly swallowed the drink, finding it was surprisingly good.

Arbiter: Now then Alpha, I have one last request for you

Alpha: A-and what will that be my Empr-

Arbiter: No...not as an Empress, as a friend
