I wake up with a banging headache, this was not going to be a fun shift. I walk downstairs, and I jump back in fear totally forgetting mark slept over, and now he is definitely awake.
'good morning, how are we today? hahaha' he says laughing clearly seeing I don't look that great and we definitely have the same headache.
I walk into the kitchen making some breakfast for the two of us when suddenly the doorbell starts ringing, before I get there I see mark reaching for the door, it was Richard.
'ehm hi mark, is yn home?' as I stood from the corner of the kitchen I could see Richard was a little shocked by the sudden surprise of mark.
i walked out an began talking, letting the focus be on something else, 'what can I help you with Richard?' I nicely asked.
'I was just wondering if I should drop you guys off at the hospital' he offered sweetly.
'yeah, if you can just stay here with mark then I'd get ready as fast as I can' I say before heading upstairs. I got ready and went down to the two men waiting for me, and we all headed out and then on the way to the hospital.
as we arrived at the hospital we went into the elevator and shockingly Addison and Derek already were in there, the vibe was so awkward, and mark just kept on nervous laughing, the worst elevator ride ever.
we got to the 2nd floor, and we went in to change to our hospital outfits, and there stood MAGIC, which was a nickname of our colleagues, who was with out a doubt each others ride or die,

they started at the hospital the same time as me, but I haven't really got time to talk to any of them yet, but hopefully that will change.
Bailey stood in the doorway telling us to get out butts moving, cause trauma was only 10 minutes away and we had to stand ready outside, they all went out of the locker room, but Bailey stops me on the way out,
'yn, have you been drinking?' she asks me lifting on of her eyebrows, she could be scary from time to time.
'ehm only a little bit? does it matter?' I curiously ask...
'the heck it does, it wasn't really a question, your sitting out, go get yourself sober and then maybe you will get something out of this shift' she walks away mad, clearly I have pissed her off.
as I walk around the hospital not really knowing what to do I step into Derek
'oh sorry didn't see you' I look up and he suddenly drags me by hand into the on call room
'yn, I like you, like really like you, and Addison, she's nothing to me anymore, we're getting a divorce, so technically not married. Care to give me a chance?' he asks while looking me deeply in the eyes still holding my hands
'ehm I-I I don't know what to say' that's the only thing that came out my mouth, I was blown back, shocked, it has been a long time since I've been dating, and I don't know if the time is right
'then don't, I'd take you on a date, just give me a chance, cause I feel something between us, and I know yn that you feel it too, you're just scared to admit it, which is okay' I could hear the true love in his voice, I loved that voice
'I just don't know if its the right time' I blurt out
'then I'd wait, when I've signed the divorce papers and when you've finished the exams coming up, everything will be settled down, and we can figure something out' he says, I loved how patient he was.
'alright, when everything's settled, we can figure something out' I state, maybe feelings was starting to form....
