CAMILLA'S POV

When I opened my eyes, I was alone. Harry was gone. Madam Pomfrey was on the other side of the room helping another student. The room was quiet. I sat up and my body still ached. I looked down at the bandages wrapped around my wrist and stomach. Then I heard them... That dark voice I would know anywhere. A chill went down my spine.

"Do you have any other pain?" Madam Pomfrey asked. Her tone was sharp and clipped. "Yes. As a matter of fact, I do." he said. "Well?" she said. "My sister. She's a pain in my arse. If you are so keen on helping, you can stop fixing her up everytime I try to handle her." he snapped. "Mr. Riddle, I am a trained healer. My job is to heal people and I took an oath, swearing to do so. I, in no way, shape or form, allow you or any of my students to suffer when I have the ability to help them." she said. "Boring," he said. "Maybe to you but my job is everything to me. If I could stop you before you hurt her, trust me, I would. Unfortunately, I cannot. But I will continue to help your sister any and every time you do something and there is nothing you can do to stop me." she snapped. I could tell she was trying to be professional. "Aren't you going to ask who did this?" he said. "Frankly, I don't care. It's not relevant to my ability to heal you." she said. I slowly stood up and walked over towards his cot. My bare feet were cold on the floor and my clothes were still a wreck. I had a white hospital gown on with Harry's jacket. Ginny put my hair in a braid when I was sleeping so it was a bit messy. I still had cuts and bruises all over my face and body. I approached Nathan and he smirked at me. "Rough time?" he asked smugly. My eyes watered and I stared at him. I was still afraid.

I'm so tired of being afraid.

"Are you going to talk or did your boyfriend destroy your vocal cords too?" he asked. I shook my head. "No-I just- I want to know what happened to you." I said. He laughed. "So I was right..." he said. "What?" I asked. "It was your guard dog, Potter. He went off on Zabini and I." he said. I should have known. "Still couldn't kill me. Too scared. Do you know why?" he asked. "No." I said quietly. "Because he knows if he kills me, you'll hate him for it. And he cares about you too much for that." he said. My face fell. "I wouldn't hate him. I wouldn't care. I hate you and I hope you die." I said. He laughed again. "No, you don't." he said. I looked at the ground as my eyes watered. "No matter what I do to you, you'll always love me. You could never fully hate me." he said. "Yes, I could." I lied. "No, you couldn't. Admit it. You could never fully hate me. Part of you will always love part of me. Admit it Camilla." he said. I ignored him. But it was true.

I looked at him and wiped my eyes. "Where's Draco?" I asked. He smirked. "Do you still love him?" he asked. "Tell me where he is." I said. He shrugged. "Don't know, don't care." he said. I kept looking at him and he sighed. "You want to know how I got him on my side..." he said with a smirk. It still hurt to even hear those words. "Yes." I said. He nodded. "What did you promise him? The safety of his family?" I asked. "No." he said. "Did you promise him he wouldn't have to get the mark?" I asked. "No." he said. I exhaled heavily. "Then why? Draco would never do that. At least not without a good reason." I said. "Maybe you don't know him as well as you think you do," he said. "What does that mean?" I asked. "What would you think if I told you there was no reason, that Draco just did what I ordered because I ordered it?" he said. "I would say you're lying." I said. "Hmm" he said.

"Nathan, please. I'm begging you. You already hurt me. Ok? You got what you wanted, I just want to know why. Don't I at least deserve that?" I asked. He groaned. "How about this, either you leave me alone right now, or I'll call Blaise back in here and he can have a round 3 with you?" he spat. The fear came back as his threat sunk in. "Ok, I'll go." I said. I turned to leave when he spoke again. "I will tell you this, Potter was on a rampage and he went to find Draco. If you hurry, you can probably save him and he'll just end up with the beating of a lifetime instead of death." he called out. I looked at him once more. "I don't know how Nathan but you're right. Part of me will always love a part of you. But the rest of me will hate the rest of you. Don't forget that." I said. Then I left. I pulled on my converse and ran through the halls of Hogwarts in just a hospital gown and Harry's gray zip up. I searched the Great Hall, the library, almost everywhere. Then I heard shouts coming from the outside courtyard. The closer I got, the clearer the voices became. There was a group of people and I could hear what they were yelling. Despite the pain in my body, I ran as fast as possible.
