Chapter 25

"Pregnant!" Nisha, Ananya's mother was beyond shock.

She shifted her gaze from Sumedh to Ananya unbelievably. Ananya nodded her head slightly, confirming that she was pregnant with Sumedh's babies.

"M-Mom, l-listen..." Ananya stuttered, seeing her mother's furious and shocked face.

"What the hell is this, Anya!!" Her mom shouted, making her flinch.

Sumedh held her close to his chest and replied to her mother, "Mom, we aren't divorced. We just faked our divorce, as dadi is a heart patient. I am always with her. She is my wife yet and will be forever."

"Great! Just great!!" Nisha exclaimed before continuing, "Now what will your dadi and parents tell about my daughter? Already they don't like her! They will accuse her of her pregnancy and will make others talk rubbish too, as for everyone you both are divorced."

"They already knew," Sumedh replied blankly.

"And they didn't accept Ananya and your babies, right? They had accused her right." Nisha guessed it accurately, sensing Sumedh's silence.

He just nodded his head, feeling ashamed about his family members. Tears formed in Ananya's eyes, as she remembered their accusation on her. Nisha's heart pricked to see her kids like that. Yes, she had taken Sumedh as her kid as well and when she knew that he left her daughter for her family, her trust in him was broken.

Now when she learnt the truth that he was with Ananya always and they weren't divorced, she felt happy. But she couldn't bear how Ananya's in-laws accused her character and her unborn kids.

"Do you wanna live with him even after all these happened, Anya? As much as I knew about his dadi, she won't stop with this. She will spread a rumour among all their relatives and all will accuse you of separating him from them. They won't even let my grandchildren. Those innocent souls should bear all this nonsense too. Better you leave him and let him live with them. I and your dad will be with you forever." Ananya hugged her mother and cried in joy, hearing the word 'grand children' from her mouth.

She was happy that at least her mother accepted her babies as her grandchildren when Sumedh's family wasn't even ready to recognise the babies as their own.

"Thank you, Mom. But I don't wanna leave him. I love him, Mom. I can't live without him and he can't live without me and our babies. I trust him. Whatever situation arises, he will take care of us." Ananya said, looking at Sumedh.

"Yes, Mom. You don't worry about her. She is mine and I will be with her always. Yes, I did keep her away from dadi before. But now I will not leave her even if dadi disown me. Because they had crossed their limits already and hurt my Jaan. So, now I won't go back to them nor take Anu there." He said earnestly.

Though Nisha could feel the sincerity and love for Ananya in his words, she was worried for her daughter. Which mother could trust a boy with her child when he had already left her daughter alone?

"Now we just came here to say about our fake drama, so that you will stop searching groom for Anu. We are leaving, Mom, we have a flight to catch. We are on vacation to celebrate Jaan's birthday and our anniversary." Sumedh continued, seeing her silent, "You can come to our house whenever you wish and trust me but I won't give Ananya to you. I wish to take care of her and our babies myself. So, sorry, Mom. We are leaving."

He said and held Ananya's shoulder to take her back to the car. Ananya looked at her mother longingly, "Mom, won't you talk with me?"

"What shall I tell? It's your life and your wish. Just remember, we are with you always whatever the situation is." She kissed Ananya's forehead and turned to Sumedh, "and Samu, remember, if by chance anything goes wrong in my daughter's life, at that time, I won't be silent like now. That day will be the last day for you in Anya's life. Also, I will take my grandchildren with me along with Anu."

Sumedh smiled and hugged Nisha, crushing her bones, "Love you so much, Mom."

Nisha chuckled and hugged him back, "Boy you are crushing me!"

"Then say love you too. Until then I won't leave you." Sumedh pouted like a kid.

"Okay! Love you too, baby boy." She kissed Sumedh's forehead.

"Great! Now both mother and son had forgotten me." Ananya huffed, faking her anger.

Sumedh and Nisha pulled her either side of cheeks while replying, "Drama queen!!"

She whined rubbing her cheeks, though they didn't pull her cheeks harshly. They both adored her and wrapped their arms around her. She smiled and hugged them back.

"Now both of you come inside and have dinner." Sumedh shook his head and replied, "Can't, Mumma. We have to leave. We are getting late. We had decided to meet you after coming back from the trip only. But she was crying so much that you would take her away from me. That's why I took her here to meet you and reveal about our relationship and babies now only."

"That's good, at least you guys revealed now. Even this Varsha had cheated me with you both. What had you done to my daughter's, Samu? They both are always behind you to support you." Nisha asked in wonder.

"Not just Varsha, Mom. Radhi also. They both are always there for us whoever with us or not." Ananya said proudly.

Nisha smiled at them both and felt happy that Radhika and Varsha were with Sumedh and Ananya whatever struggle they both faced.

"And we are sorry, Mumma. We didn't mean to cheat you. But circumstances were like that. Hereafter, we won't hide anything from you." Sumedh said.

Nisha patted his cheeks while replying, "It's fine. No need to be sorry. I am happy to see you both together. Now go safely and text me once you guys reached your destination."

She hugged them both once.

"Mom, dad..." Ananya asked hesitatingly.

"I will inform him. You don't worry." Nisha replied.

Ananya nodded her head and left with Sumedh after bidding bye to her mother with a smiling face. She felt light after revealing the truth to her mother and jumped on cloud nine, seeing her mother's happiness for her and Sumedh.

Sumedh was also happy, as he got his mother back. He took Ananya's mother as his mother as well. He kissed Ananya's cheeks to which she smiled back and kept her head on his shoulder, wrapping her arms around his biceps.
