The girl swung the door open and began to pull me along, my wrist felt numb from her strong grip, we ran down the stairs, I could still hear the commotion from the other building. .My head was pounding again and I heard voices from the one of the doors to the staircase we were on. The girl swung me by the arm behind another wall as we heard the people go down the stairs. Once the voices had died down I could breathe a little more easily. "Ok.." I sighed, "we just set fire to a building, jumped a roof and possibly killed my brother, I think that deserves me at least a name"

The girl looked at me still panting, she looked away thinking, then she held out her hand "Acea Brooklyn Spade'' she said, this took me by surprise, she didn't even question it, "umm" I stuttered, "I'm Ashton" I was confused for a second because I could have sworn I had heard the name before but I didn't say anything. "This way" she said, standing up and going towards the door. I followed her and we came to a corridor of flats, she tried a door but it didn't open. "I think it's locked- '' I said, but before I could finish my sentence she had slammed her shoulder into the door and it swung open. I stared at her in amazement for a second before following her in.  She began looking in each room before coming across what looked like a study, I looked around the kitchen and living room before I heard banging and clattering from the other room, I walked in to see ace, rummaging through every draw in the desk, "what are you looking for?" I said, "a phone!" She said not looking back at me, "ah" she said lifting up a small Nokia, "that's not a phone" I scoffed, "you got anything better?" I shook my head while she dialed a number into the keyboard. "Why don't you use the house phone?" I asked, signaling to the phone on the front desk

"Because that can be tracked, no one can know we're here ok?" I nodded as the person on the phone answered, "hello?" The voice said, "James!" The girl hissed, "It's Ace" "Ace!? Jesus Christ! , your back!" "Yeah, yeah, I've been held up by..." she stared at me, "business, meet me at OUR PLACE in ten, I'm near there" "will do" the phone voice said again and the call ended. "What was that about '' I asked, confused, "come with me" she said. She slid the phone into the pocket of her jacket and grabbed my wrist. We went down the rest of the stairs and out the exit, I watched the building next to us go up in flames as about 50 people were running outside in pajamas and dressing gowns. Ace pulled me along and through an alleyway, we ended up at an old children's park, it didn't look like it could even be used anymore, there was rubbish everywhere, the slide was rusty and there was gum and cigarettes on the floor and benches.  We waited there for a solid couple minutes just looking around from where we were before I saw something coming out of the shadows.
