Deep black eyes stared at him as if they were judging with their impassivity.

Dream stared back at them.

"Hello, Frisk."

Dream greeted them.

"Hello, Dream. You haven't been sleeping these days."

Core Frisk greeted back.

"Observant as always. But you know that this isn't the time to rest."

Dream said with a tired grin.

They let out a sigh at his response.

"Stubborn. However, I understand. With the way things had been going right now, it will be not easy."

Core Frisk spoke.

Then they reached a hand into one of their eyes and pulled out a strange object.

It was a ball that was red colored on it's higher half and black on its lower half.

A white line with a button on its center covered where the red and black met each other.

Overall, it looked harmless.

Dream accepted it when it was handed to him.

"May I ask what is this for?"

Dream murmured.

"It will summon an ally if you throw it on the ground. Be safe, Dream."

Core Frisk explained.

"Thank you for the gift."

Dream commented and gave them a gentle hug before quickly backing away.

They were really a kind and generous being.

Core Frisk quietly giggled.

They knew who was trapped inside that ball.

It was voluntary, of course.

Because they valued consent.

Dream would be so surprised.

Sans got the answers.

After he had talked with his brother, they visited one of the ancient figures of the multiverse.

The questions were solved.

But with a price!

It was unspeakable.

"Bro, I never thought that having a movie marathon with one of the ancient ones would have so much fun."

Paps spoke.

Sans solemnly nodded.

He needed to visit them again sometime.

Sans spread out the filled out paper on their table.

Paps stood next to him to look at it.

'The ingredients of making a special soul.'

'1. The wall that separates men and monsters.

The barrier.

2. The flower that started the tale.

Buttercup.

3.The bones of the abandoned.

Bones from an AU that was abandoned by its creator

4.A paper of a universe.

A paper from the doodle sphere that has no people in it.

5.The tears of the soul's friend.

Cross's tears.'

"I honestly don't get number five. Aren't you and Dream a friend of his too?"

Paps mumbled.

"I think it is probably because of the fact that when Ink first met Cross when he was crying, Paps!"

Sans explained.

"And...I am not sure if I am a friend for Ink anymore. If he finds out what had been going on behind his back."

Sans added with a grimace on his face.

Paps just petted his shoulder.

"I am sure it would work out fine, Sans."

Paps told him.

"Since when you were the positive one?"

Sans asked.

"Oh, is that sass I hear?"

Paps replied with a shit-eating grin.

They stared at each other before breaking into laughing fits.

"Hey bro. Do you know how to make a skeleton laugh?"

Paps said after they had laughed it off.

"No!"

Sans answered.

"Tickle his funny bone!"

Paps announced.

A drum roll sound came.

"Paps!"

Sans cried out.

"Come on. You're smiling."

Paps commented.

"I am and I hate it!"

Sans replied and stomped his foot.

But the grin didn't disappear from his face.

He hoped that this moment would last forever.

...

Paps placed his hands into the pockets of his hoodie.

Then he chuckled when he heard his brother dramatically sigh.
