"Mom they are my best friends" Ayan replied chuckling taking his shirt off. He grabbed a tee this time, pulled it down his head hastily and then put on a black leather jacket. It's his birthday. His Friends are waiting outside in car. They have come to fetch him and then they will have a club night with the birthday boy.

Heaving a deep sigh Ayan took out a white shirt off his wardrobe shelf and shut the door pulling it on. It's already 8a.m he has to finish the breakfast and rush to clinic. There is no time to reminiscing the days he had with his Mom and Dad years ago.

It's his day, Neela Aunty invited him for lunch. He will be there at Roy Mansion around 1pm then again he will be back in clinic. Why there is a feeling in his subconscious mind? that Neela Aunty having a great combat with herself to talk about something, especially with him. Ayan sensed it watching her the hours last night. There is something unlike Neela Aunty, going all emotional.
Therefore there wasn't much reluctant to deny the lunch at her place. No matter how much the reason is absurd, he would try not to miss it at any cost unless any emergency inadvertently comes with some ailing people.

"Are we expecting someone for Lunch?" Aravi asked leaning forward stood against the kitchen counter across Neela. Adequate amount of vegetables non-veg items are splayed all over the counter, sink the cook help is washing some huge amount of fishes in basin other side she has seen.

"Ayan" Neela's short answer chopping onions in some perfect quare pieces.

"To birthday boy ar jonne payesh ranna hoahey!" Aravi spoke inhaling the aroma her nostrils hit as soon as her eyes flited over the breakfast table, all set up with two giant bowl of delicious kheer with plenty of dry fruits on the top layer.

( So kheer is already prepared for the birthday boy!)

"Good. Forget not, to save a bowl for me then." Aravi threw these words at her mother walking down the dinning to grab the newspaper laid on the centre table. Reyaansh and Avni already left for the clinic.

"I have made some for your in-laws by the way" Neela replied with a sigh, moved to the cabinet to grab a glass container and then busied herself instructing some marinating process to their cook who was there present in the kitchen getting few masala paste out of the freezer.

Later around noontime.
It's been few minutes passed Ayan has arrived.

"Tor mayer moto ato bhalo parini...still there is a hope you can adjust" Neela said placing the last dish on the lunch table, followed by the cook a glass of water in her hand behind her.
(Nothing as scrumptious as I could manage Mrs.Chatterjee used to prepare them for you)

"Ooh c'mon Mimi sabae jaane tumi darun ranna karo" Ayan said in a sincere grin leaning to the chair he would take his seat on.

(Ooh c'mon Mimi we all know you are a great cook)

As soon as Ayan had walked in and basked himself in a couch near by he had asked about Aravi glancing around the hall. And he got to know she has gone to visit her in-laws and will be back tomorrow.

"And I'm flattered" Neela laughed dramatically grabbing some kheer in a yellowish fiber medium sized  square bowl for Ayan. It's a bengali ritual to have kheer on birthday before your meal.

Ayan took a quick look over the kheer she prepared for him and couldn't help his heart squeezed at the sight. He is overwhelmed by this gesture of her. He absolutely did expect an appetizing lunch coming to his way but not this much heart warming. Ayan quietly swallowed down his swelled up chest, that Neela has merely noticed.

"By the way it's quite evident you are planning to gain me some suffice amont of weight before I hit the gym next morning" his  words were eyeing over the dishes Neela has decorated the table for him with those bengali dishes his mom Mrs.Chatterjee used to prepare them for him. She used to mention all these in calls with Neela during their chat more often.
