Excitement shot through me as I jumped out of the shower I hadn't kept track of time so I hoped I wasn't running too late, I scrunched my hair with a towel in my hand trying to dry it quickly as I looked out clothes.
And then there was a knock on the door.
"Don't come in!" I shouted and the grip on the handle dropped.
"You're not decent," Gray grumbled as my eyes flickered up to the clock It had been a couple of hours like he said.
"What's it to you?" I remarked quickly pulling on clothes.
"I'm merely jealous that I'm not the reason for your state," He commented smugly from behind the door and I rolled my eyes pulling my top on and walking to the door to find him leaning against the wall waiting.
"Let's go." I hissed stomping past him and he rushed up to me.
"Slow down love." He laughed and I couldn't help but glare at him as I let him catch up.
"You have 5 minutes," Gray instructed as we walked, his cockiness disappearing as he became harsh.
"What?! That's it?! After what I had to do to see him that's all I get?!"
"That's all you get." He smirked. "Oh, and I wouldn't tell him about that. We both know he'd be very upset."
I swallowed down my shame as I kept my eyes glued to the floor.
I knew Gray would be listening to my every word so this would be my chance to fully convince him I was in this.
He led me down hallways of cells some empty, some with people. Some nice, some bad.
Until we finally stopped at the end and I saw him.
He was bandaged up and starting to heal. Had it been a week since I had seen him?
His face was bright as he smiled revealing the dimples I had come to love, his hair was messy and dry and despite the joy in his expression, I could tell he was shattered and weak.
Gray opened the cell his fiery eyes locked on Lucas giving him a glare that could kill.
I shot straight in and jumped in Lucas' arms pushing him back a little as he laughed.
"I missed you so much."
"I'm guessing that means you forgive me." He laughed smugly. I missed his smug face. I took in his scent to make sure he was really there.
My nails gripping the fabric of his shirt, my head pushing into his chest. I needed this so badly.
"Oh God, we don't have time for that now." I rolled my eyes. Trying to put on a happy face but the pressure of what I had to do started to way me down.
I turned around to see Gray with a grim look on his face, his arms folded as he continued to glare at Lucas like wanted to rip his hair out. "
"Can I have a minute Gray?" I asked my eyes full of beg. I knew he wouldn't really leave, that he would be just around the corner. But really that's what I counted on.
His eyes darted off Lucas for a second as he took a deep irritated breath, his eyes locked on mine before saying nothing and walking away.
I looked back to see Lucas raising an eyebrow, his face leaking judgement and suspicion.
I couldn't help but run my hands down his chest. I had missed it so much. I had missed the warmth of his skin on mine.
I wonder how he would look at me if he knew what I did to max.
