She went outside every day
Ran and skipped and hopped and played
Like all kids do
One day she never did it again
Thinking she was too old for such games
It wasn’t until now that she realized
She lost what she had valued most
So today she went out to the park
And played like she hadn’t in years
She felt the joy return, and shouted the one word running through her mind
