I was sweating bullets as we ran through the gates of the main fortress I knew like the back of my hand. I was able to lead them to the main ballroom where the Tifari usually is held every year. I promised to answer their questions about how I knew later because now it wasn't important.
I threw open the doors, "Norman!" I yelled.
And stopped.
"Emma, Ray, Y/n. I'm afraid you're a little too late." he says passively.
My eye twitched as I looked at all the demons and their dead bodies piled on top of each other.
Where is she?
I immediately thought.
Emma, Ray, and I all shared horrified looks as we walked into the room.
"All of them..." Ray's voice trails off.
"Dead." Norman finishes. "The queen, the aristocrats, the whole royal family. I made them kill each other. And now they're dead."
The queen too?
She's dead as well.
I sigh shallowly, I wasn't breathing much and was unable to comprehend it.
"Norman! Y/n and I were able to make a new promise!!! We can all go to the human world! And you don't have to fight anymore! So can you stop the eradication now?? Please??" she calls out desperately.
"I'm afraid it's too late for that," Norman replies.
"The government has fallen. Nobody to govern the rest of the demons. Without them, there will be no order. And they'll do with whatever they please. Which is very dangerous to keep them alive if we let them do that." he explains.
"Eradication is the only option. Don't get in the way, Emma." he turns to me. "I'm sure you understand, right Y/n?"
I want to say no.
I want to scream that this isn't right.
Because it most certainly isn't.
But instead, I stay silent instead while looking at the floor.
Norman takes my silence as a yes and moves on.
Emma fiercely grabs my forearm, which seems to act as a button for me to open my mouth as I scream with her.
"NO."
We both yell.
He turns back to us, and another heated argument between Emma and Norman arises from completely different sides of the room while Emma practically bruises up my arm with her gorilla grip.
I think she's taking her anger out on me.
That's fine, I'll just end up healing it anyway if she bruises it.
