I opened my eyes when I heard Emma was entering the room with Isabella.

I waited and decided to listen in on any conversation.

Eventually, Norman starts talking.

"It's all okay, all she took was the rope." he paused.

"Here, I'll get you some water." he left the room before Emma could say anything.

I waited until the door opened again, this time I heard Ray's voice.

The three were by Emma's bedside, strategizing.

I still hid under the covers, the bubbling of my skin still to my waist, but creeping ever so slightly.

I had to clench down my teeth airtight to try and not give away that I was here by hissing in pain.

The bubbling and the stinging were so unbearable I honestly even considered piercing myself with a vida to end the suffering.

It wouldn't be the first time I thought that anyways.

I hear more footsteps enter the room as I stay quiet.

"Norman," Ray started.

"Tomorrow afternoon, escape by yourself."

"We're not going to let you die." Emma commented.

"Sorry, I can't do that." he simply said.

I thought this was insane for him to give up so early.

But regardless, I continued listening.

"Denied." Both of his friends said Norman made a noise of confusion.

Ray was spitting out his plan very fast, he told him Norman doesn't have to die. Norman interrupted him again calmly.

"No." he denied simply.

"I can't do it. It won't work," he said, Ray kept bringing in alternate ideas until Norman held up his hand.

"For one of you to die instead of me? I don't want that at all."

Why are you so stubborn, knobhead?

"They can have my life. I have no intention of giving them anything else." he finished, not expecting Ray or Emma to keep retaliating.

I wish I could do something without risking more severe harm to me.

I thought whilst biting my nails.

Anything!

"Then let's break a bone."

Wait, what?

Emma sat up.

"It's okay, right? Let's break a bone!"

"Huh?"

"Since I'm hurt so badly, I wouldn't get shipped out in your place. So all Ray needs to do is break a bone and nobody will die!"

I heard Ray start laughing.

"That's a great idea! Let's get cracking!" he paused.

"They won't eat me if I'm sick either, right?"

"Then catch a horrible cold!" Emma revised.

"If it doesn't work, we'll think of something! I'll do anything." she said confidently.

"Why? You're both crazy for doing this." Norman told them.

"If you're not a part of this, I won't accept it!" Emma said happily, sounding like she'd cry.
