Both Ray and Norman had made a deal, and that Ray would be completely on their side whilst feeding Isabella misinformation from the time leading on.
I went back to Isabella's room to report, scared that someone was going to catch me, I hurried up until I got there.

"Something new already?" Isabella asked.
"Norman figured out Ray was your little lapdog." Isabella was stunned for a second.
"He plans to use Ray as a card against you, but from the sound of it. It doesn't seem like Ray is going to agree with such terms"
Isabella breathed a sigh of relief, even if what I said was a half-lie.
"Anything else?" she asked. I shook my head.
"No, they still only have theories about me, but nothing they can solidly prove." I replied, scarfing down another candy cane. Isabella sighed.
"It's like they know you're listening, are you sure they aren't saying anything about the escape?"
"Yes, I'm sure. They might as well talk telepathically at this point. It's making me frustrated." I lied and pouted.
The clock chimed nine, I grabbed my stick and left for the library once more before Ray got there.

Ray entered and climbed the ladder, I had one of the books written in braille ready to teach him how to read it.
Since I knew he was just doing this to keep an eye on me and make me feel like I'm not constantly threatened, I figured that I might as well try to enjoy it genuinely like I was talking with Emma or Norman, who I have already found a liking to and found some sort of enjoyment in being friends with.
Ray sat down next to me on the floor and I taught him the dotted system verbally what each set of ordered pairs meant, it took him a few tries to understand, but he got it pretty quickly as Norman did.
"Okay, I think I understand now." he tells me, tracing his hand along with the braille.
"Good, then read it out for me." I told him.
Ray promptly reads out the passage perfectly. He seemed like a quick learner and learning how to read an ordered pair of dots was no exception.
"Aw yeah! Now you can read some of these books and we can talk about them with Norman!" I say happily.
It was around midnight now, Ray set the braille book aside as we continue talking about the plot and its characters.
Wow, I could talk to him for ages.
I thought as I yawn and my head lands on Ray's shoulder, I would usually rather not do such things to not make the other person irritated, but I'm really tired tonight, so I didn't care too much.
