Kody looked up, surprised to see Lumine sit down next to him.
"Um... it's a bit noisy in the cafeteria. Do you mind if I eat lunch with you?"
He stared at Lumine, shocked. Why had he followed him? He was already sitting with Elijah and Calla.
"Uh... yeah. You can."
Kody didn't know how to react. Why had Lumine gone out of his way to sit with him of all people? Lumine friendly, he was sure he could easily join anyone he wanted with little effort.
Kody took a bite of his food, hyper-aware of the student sitting next to him. He couldn't figure out why Lumine would go out of his way to sit with him.
Trying to distract himself and regain his apathetic composure, Kody resumed the comic he'd been reading.
"What're you reading?" Lumine asked.
"Just some comic... it's not that good, but it's better than doing nothing I guess." Kody mumbled.
As he flipped through the pages, he noticed Lumine reading along over his shoulder. He tilted the book slightly- not enough that Lumine would notice, but enough that he could read it.
What a strange person.
