Chapter three ||  Christian Titan

I woke up to see the boy I saved yesterday standing there beside my bed. Not creepy, not creepy at all. He should have just woken me up instead do just staring like that. Did Chelsea put him up to this? I quickly cover myself with the bedsheet hoping he didn't notice.

" It's time to get up young miss." Ah- he noticed.

I toss and turn under the blankets. This isn't what I meant by making him, my butler but fine, I'll go along with it today since It's his first day.

Now that I think about it I still know anything about him, not even his name. he wasn't even in the novel either so he's probably an extra I accidentally picked up. Poor guy, I don't think he'll even tell me anything about himself just yet. I reckon we need to build more on trust. I can't have an aid who won't trust me.

Hair as white as snow, yellow eyes that seemed to shine brighter than the sun. Yellow eyes, now that's definitely not normal, a. Uh! why weren't boys on Earth this good looking and obedient? He was just a frail boy in the slums just yesterday, who knew all that dirt hid a gem. Never judge a book by its cover.

" I'm sorry for asking so late but what is your name?" I say rubbing my eyes.

He looked at me flustered and then looked down without saying a word. I don't know if I should be happy that he's being cute, or if I should be sad or angry or what. The fact that he hasn't answered means that something's wrong.

" You don't know your name?" He bobs his head up and down.

He then grabs something from his pockets and hands it to me. A handkerchief? there was something embroidered on each side of it, C. Titan. Was that his name? I looked back at him then at the handkerchief his last name really suits him well.

" C. Titan? Your name?" He nods.

" The orphanage said that my mum said it was my name." He spoke quietly. So he does know how to talk every now and then. I thought he was mute for a second.

In the end, though, his mum never ended up telling the orphanage his actual name. It must have really hard on him, not even knowing his name. I wonder what people at the orphanage called him? I'm curious but I don't think I want to know.

Wait, orphanage? but he was on the streets when I saw him. He didn't run away did he? how bad must his life have been to run away? but I guess that's a memory he wouldn't want to remember and something I shouldn't pry into.

" Will you name me? " His voice felt shaky.

I look up at him, he was smiling. I can tell he's very sincere but asking me to name him... I'm not great with names. I don't think 8-year-olds name other people is normal either. But if he really wants me to do it, I don't think I can refuse.

" Then... since your name initially started with a C..." I think about it for a while, "your new name will be Christian."

" Christian," He recited quietly.

" Do you not like it? I can chan-"

" No! I like it, thank you, young miss." He bows down while grinning from ear to ear.

" Ah and um, don't call me that. Leah is fine." although I may be slightly accustomed to this world,  I don't think I'll ever get used to people calling me 'young miss'. EVER!

" yes, My Lady."

My lady? there's no difference!! Oh well, It's a little better than 'young miss'. I quickly jump out of bed and get dressed when I'm done I make my way to the dining room. The dining room was empty as always. should I skip breakfast? just for the day at least.
