BREAK.

Draco lay awake in his bed, still thinking about Y/n. It had been a week already in his manor of the Christmas break and he didn't know what to do.

But he was definitely missing her. He hated to admit it. The way her pastel purple hair flawlessly bounced, the happy glint in her eyes, that gracious smile and that stupid smirk she gave him on the train.

Those lips.

He had to admit, Y/n had did good job at giving him hickeys since they lasted longer than they normally would've as much as he knew. Draco didn't mind having them for the rest of his life.

He felt pathetic for being so lovesick. But he just couldn't help it. It felt so nice, he was addicted. Whenever Y/n was around, he was either trying not to smile or get high on happiness.

There was a knock on the door before his mother entered, " Mother. " He sat up, smiling. Narcissa adored it. Draco rarely smiled. Her son had a gorgeous smile and seeing him wear it made her ecstatic.

" Draco, " She said softly, sitting on the edge of his bed, " Is there something you want to tell me? You've been quite distracted. "

Narcissa gave him a playful smile and Draco couldn't help but smile wider at the thought of Y/n, blush rising to his cheeks. " No, mother. There's nothing. "

Narcissa laughed softly. " Than why are you blushing, son? " Draco bit the inside of his cheek. " I'm not, " He reasoned, " It's just cold outside. "

Narcissa chuckled and grabbed his hand, " Whatever, or should I say, whoever is making you this happy, keep her. " She winked and Draco's smile faltered.

Would you accept her though? The question stayed on his tongue but he bites it back, nodding with the same smile. Narcissa sighed happily.

" I can't believe someone made you blush. " Draco groaned softly. " I know, I'm surprised myself. "

" Oh, so there is someone. " Narcissa grinned and Draco sighed, nodding.
" When will I meet her? "

Draco shifted in his seat, " I-We're not actually dating. She hates me actually. " He huffed and Narcissa frowned.
" Really? Who is it? "

" Never mind that, mother. " He sighed and Narcissa nodded, " Why don't you use your Malfoy charm? You know, no one can resist it. " She teased and Draco laughed, nodding.

Narcissa beamed at her son laughing. She gave him a kiss on the forehead,
" Dinner is ready. Your father is waiting. "

Draco nodded, " Mother, please don't mention anything to him. " He requested and Narcissa smiled. " Of course, sweetheart. As you wish. Get downstairs for dinner now. "

Draco made himself presentable and hurried downstairs. Lucius was sitting on the dining table, a scowl on his face. Which meant Draco couldn't utter a word.

" Stupid mudbloods and muggles, " He spat, making Draco to wince. Oh, well! He thought, he could never have the guts to talk about Y/n in front of his father.

" What happened now, Lucius? " Narcissa smiled, sitting beside Draco and snapped her fingers. The house elves served dinner and disappeared.

Draco took the fork, " Existing. But I still can't believe Dumbledore is letting them walk around in that school. If I were him, I'd slaughter them out of the school-"

Draco clenched on his fork, taking a small bite as he tried to ignore his father's usual rant. Draco didn't understand what his father had against muggles?

He hated himself for thinking the way he did. He hated Lucius for drilling those thoughts in his head and now he was so used to them, he loathed himself.

" Lucius, calm down and let's have dinner first. " The older Malfoy only nodded and ate his food, looking at Draco.

" How are studies going, son? I don't want you getting below that mudblood Granger again, nor that mudblood Belle! She's in your house, isn't she? Doesn't matter! Blood is blood! Always impure.... "

Draco clenched his jaw, nodding. " I'm trying my best father. " Lucius nodded.
" Malfoys never try. Malfoys only own it, understand? "

Narcissa sighed. " Leave the poor boy alone. At this age, he's supposed to enjoy, Lucius. "

Draco was thankful for his mother to steer the subject away. He didn't know if he could hold in any more anger on his fathers vile words towards Y/n.

" She's intriguing. " Lucius says after a few minutes of silence. " Who? " Narcissa frowned at the random topic of conversation.

" Belle. That girl in Draco's year. " Draco shifted in seat slightly, feeling utterly out of place. " What about her? "

" She's in slytherin. A mudblood but no mudblood has been in slytherin at all. There has to be some connection... " Lucius trailed off and Draco held in the urge to roll his eyes.

" Just think about it. She doesn't look anything like those filthy muggles. And that Nathaniel Belle. " Draco frowned to himself. Why did his father had to have sudden interest in Y/n?

Narcissa hummed. " I haven't seen her yet. "Draco took another bite, his eyes on his plate. " What do you say, Draco? Isn't that wierd? "

Draco nodded. " Yes, father. " He played along, although he was itching to leave.
" Nevertheless, I suspect there's something behind that face. You never know how mudbloods turn out... "

Draco clenched his fist on his lap, sighing through his nose. Narcissa glanced at him as he shifted. The nerve on his forehead was popping out as his jaw was clenched, his mouth slightly chewing on the food.

As the dinner was over, Draco excused himself and bid goodnights before rushing to his room. As he fell on his bed, he let out a tired sigh. Why Y/n of all people? Why did he have to fall for her?

He wondered.

It was going to be a long week and he just couldn't wait to go back. Away from his father, from the wrong thoughts and wrong surrounding. Draco sometimes felt bad for his mother.

He didn't know how she could manage her husband. If it was him, he'd have left long ago. He didn't know how Narcissa puts up with Lucius. She was always loyal, loving and caring wife.

It was christmas eve, and he didn't know if it would be wierd sending Y/n a gift. Sighing, he got towards his trunk and took out the necklace. He dropped it back inside and closed the trunk, planning on giving her back at the school.

Y/n was wrapping all the gifts to send off to her friends. She came across a familiar green box she packed and looked at it for a good few seconds.
" Never mind. " She whispered to herself and pushed it in her trunk.

The gift was bought without any second thoughts, but now, she was second guessing wether to send it or not. It'd be wierd. After all the stunt she pulled before, she was hoping she didn't make him uncomfortable.

Because Y/n had never seen Draco Malfoy so out of place, one. And two, Draco's weak side made something tick in her. She didn't know where that confidence came from the other day, but she loved it.

Now she knew there was something Draco Malfoy would be annoyed with from her. He had let his guards down because of her and she knew it annoyed him very much.

But Y/n couldn't help but smile at the thought of him. It was just wierd. The two always bickered, sometimes, Draco would push a flirty comment in between but that was it.

She missed his face that always tried to hide the smile, those icy grey eyes that matched the month, December. The season, Winter.

She sighed and send the last one to Harry before jumping in her bed. Her mind kept flooding back to the way he blushed. It was so adorable, sue couldn't get it out of her head.

She pulled the covers to her chin and sighed, staring at the ceiling. " Draco Malfoy, you're tagging me on trouble. "

She breathed out, rubbing her eyes tiredly.
