I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. It's finally the first day of school, I've been waiting for a while but now that it's finally here I don't know how to feel. New people, new school, new teachers, new everything. Even though I'll have Benny, DeNunez, and Bertram, I'm still a bit nervous.

I heard my door slightly crack open. "Nessa, get ready for school." It was my mom.

I nodded my head and she walked out of my room. I got up and took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, washed my face, and chose an outfit. I put on a white cropped tank top, a black opened sweater, high waisted distressed black jeans, and laced up my back and white adidas. I took my hair out of the ponytail and curled my hair.

After I finished I picked up my phone to look at the time.

MESSAGES
Unknown Number: Watch out Nessa.
-

What the hell? I don't know who this is or what they want. Maybe it's one of my friends from Utah playing a prank on me.

I brushed the message off and picked my phone back up to text Benny.

Janessa Ramirez: Hey Benny, you ready for school?

Benny Rodriguez: Yes, are you?

Janessa Ramirez: Appearance wise, yes. Mentally, no.

Benny Rodriguez: You're gonna be fine Nessa.

Janessa Ramirez: If you say so Benny haha. I'll see you in a bit.

I closed my phone and put it in my pocket, grabbed my backpack and walked downstairs.

"You look pretty baby sister." Brandon smiled.

"Thanks bro." I returned the favor.

"Hey Nessa, I made you some breakfast." Vicky grinned while hold out a plate of pancakes and eggs.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion while grabbing the plate."Thanks I guess..." I continued. "Why are you being nice Vicky?"

"Come on, Nessa let me be a nice sister for a day."

"Whatever Vicky." I laughed.

"You should probably get going to school now." Brandon told me. "It's 7:30."

"Oh! Your right." I continued while I began to rush. "Bye Vicky, Bye Mom, Bye Brandon."
