Next morning
LUNA
I woke up late as it was Sunday. I lazily slip out of my bed and went inside the bathroom.
After freshening up, I went into the Hall Emma was already awake and was preparing breakfast for us
"Good Morning", I greeted Emma with a chirp
"Morning, sweetie. Waffles, eggs or pancakes what do you want for breakfast?", she asked she know what me the best
"Whatever you had made for yourself", I told her. She then gave me some waffles with chocolate syrup on it.
"We have to go shopping today remember, Sunday is our day", Emma remind me again bout today's plan, I rolled my eyes at her and let out a sigh I am too tired to do anything but I can't say no to her.
"And umm... Don't get mad if I tell you that Max will be joining us, "Emma whispered but loud enough that I can hear
I mumble an "okay" because that's the only thing I could do
We both get ready and Max was already early to pick us up if truly say he isn't that bad but nothing can change my point of view on such a matter
We first went to the footwear store and then to the outfit one, we then went to the coffee shop, Emma ordered a soda and Max a coffee while I ordered my all-time favourite smoothie...
We all chatted while drinking our beverages, I was pulled out mid-conversation when my phone rang with an unknown no. Who the hell is calling like now
????: Hello, Miss Madison
ME: yes...hello... Who's this?
????: Really, great you forget your new boss so fast isn't it, huh?
ME: I suddenly then realised that Paul was on the other line with me.
Sir... Morning no it's noon, good afternoon sir.
"Good afternoon, Miss Madison
Let me inform you that tomorrow is off duty so it's your responsibility to reschedule all of the meetings and look out for my important documents. So you can come to the office till 4 pm...today, to collect the files", he ordered me in his same stern voice which I got melted at first
"Sir... may you just mail me the info?", wow luna you dare to deal with this monster
"No.... Do you think of me as a fool, do u think miss that I would waste my 10 minutes in sending you an email, don't forget it's my office and my rules don't try to be over smart miss Madison", he informed me politely enough
"But it's Sunday and it's a holiday and is out shopping", shit...shit, what I just said fuck you Luna why are you testing his patience
"Wow, I didn't know that Are you really in a state of arguing with me Miss Madison? It's Sunday and I know that your shopping can wait but work cannot or maybe you don't need this job...", he barked over the call
"No...no...no, of course, not sir this job is very important and yes I will be there", I assured him
"Brilliant, then you can collect it from my office desk the cabin will be open", he told me
"You won't be there?", I asked back seriously again
"No...I'm leaving and 4 pm sharp", he said and cut the call without listening to my words. I sighed, I hate that Emma and Max were there and were watching me silently throughout my whole conversation.
"What happened", she asked concern written all over her face
I need to go... to work that happened
"What...why...it's Sunday", she questioned
"Ugh..no more questions please, Sunday is a dreadful day" and with this, I left them alone.
