Omniscient

Janaye's heart stopped once those words flew out of August's mouth.

"Yes!" She spoke through happy tears.

Getting off the floor, august grabbed and hugged her.

The two hugged for a long while, forgetting the people surrounding.

Finally breaking apart, august went in for a kiss.

"Congratulations you two!" Janaye's mother walked up to the couple.

"Thank you Mommy." Janaye replied stepping away from August to hug her mother.

All throughout the night everyone conversed and applauded the young love.

They danced, ate, and went through memory lane for the rest of the night.

By 12, everyone was leaving the reserved area and heading home.

August had planned a big night full of surprises for Naye.

When the couple walked outside there was an all Black G Wagon just like the one she had when they first met.

She had sadly lost her truck once her pops died, and she went broke.

It sat in front of the exit with the biggest red bow laying on the hood.

"OMG! AUGUST?!?!" She yelled in suprise.

"It's yours baby." He looked at her and smiled.

Catching him off guard she hugged and kissed him.

She had missed her truck so much, and had valued it deeply because it was from her father.

Yes he lied, and hid things from her, but that was her pops and you only got one.

"Thank you." She whispered in his ear as she started to cry.

"Go look inside, check it out." He replied.

Walking around the truck she noticed the outside resembled her old one very much, but the inside was customized.

Her seats were a royal shade of purple, and they had been engraved.

The head rest on the seat had "Alsina" written in black.

The inside roof, had the lights that resembled stars.

Overall the whole truck was a vibe.

"Get in." August spoke as he climbed into the passengers seat.

Doing as told she got in, and admired it one more time.

"Where we going?" She asked.

"Test driving." He said as she pulled off.

Once they had made it onto the highway, he turned the radio on.

"Girl I know sometimes that I mistreat you, and you still come back
And I see your homegirls try to reach you, but you ain't hearing none of that
They try to get through, they say I ain't the move
I don't know, cause girl it might be true
When they tell you, you should walk away but you stay anyway
Girl I think it's best for me to say this, I ain't no good
And your heart ain't something I should play with
So let's get it understood
I ain't trying to ruin your life
If anything I just want to make it right
And tell the judge I ain't even gotta plead my case
I can tell my baby to her face
I was just your nigga next door
But girl I see more for you, (I see more for you)
And you ain't gotta have no fear, no I'll always be here for you, girl I'm here for you
And I know you may not end up with me
'Cause I'm still playing outchea in these streets
But I'm just saying
You deserve better, I'm saying, you deserve better
I know that love can be blind
But you should open your eyes (open your eyes)
Take a look in the mirror
Baby girl you a prize
And any man that don't see that you should let his ass go, believe that
Because his love ain't real
What he won't do another nigga will
Girl I think it's best for me to say this, I ain't no good
And your heart ain't something I should play with
So let's get it understood
I ain't trying to ruin your life
If anything I just want to make it right
And tell the judge I ain't even gotta plead my case
I can tell my baby to her face
See I was just your nigga next door
But girl I see more for you, (I see more for you)
And you ain't gotta have no fear, no I'll always be here for you, girl I'm here for you
And I know you may not end up with me,
'Cause I'm still playing outchea in these streets
But I'm just saying
You deserve better, I'm saying, you deserve better
You deserve all the love, (you deserve all the love)
You deserve all the care, (you deserve all the care)
You deserve all that and more, (you deserve all that and more)
You deserve better, you deserve better
You deserve to laugh, (you deserve to laugh)
Baby you deserve to smile, (baby you deserve to smile)
You deserve the best of everything
You deserve better
See I was just your nigga next door
But girl I see more for you, (girl I see more)
And you ain't gotta have no fear, no I'll always be here for you, girl I'm here for you
And I know you may not end up with me,
'Cause I'm still playing outchea in these streets
But I'm just saying
You deserve better, I'm saying, you deserve better
Yeah, yeah yeah
You deserve better
Smile
You deserve better"

The song played as they drove down the highway, Naye had no feedback as she listened.

Her eyes began to water as she heard it, the lyrics just hit different.

"I wrote it, when you moved-" he looked at her as her teary eyes glistened.

"I love it Babe." She smiled and wiped her eyes.

"Pull over and lemme drive." He spoke.

Slowing down, she got off the highway and pulled into a gas station near the exit.

She put the truck in park and they switched seats.

Getting in they both buckled up and he pulled off.

"Where we going?" She questioned as they headed into an opposite direction.

"It's a surprise mamas." He replied as he placed his hand on her thigh.

They drove for about 20 minutes until they pulled up at a Hotel.

Getting out they made small talk, until they made it to the front desk.

"Hey, what can I help you with." The woman behind the front desk smiled.

"Yea, reservations for Alsina." August spoke as he held Naye's hand.

She clicked away on her computer before handing him a key and the details to the room.

The couple walked to the elevator, while small talking about how amazing the night had been.

Once they made it up to the room- they went inside.

Candles where set up, rose petals were scrolled throughout the room, fruits, liquor, and cigars laid on a portable table.

Tonight was about to be long, and August was just getting started.
