Marinette ran after Luka, hoping to get to him before a certain purple and black butterfly did. She found him sitting on a park bench, his eyes bloodshot and filled with hot, salty tears.

"Luka I'm sorry, Lila wants to make my life miserable and I-" She was cut off by being encased in Luka's arms.

"I know it wasn't your fault. I was just thinking of all of the times he hurt you and when Lila pushed you onto him I saw him blushing and I couldn't help but think he was now going to come crawling back to you. Are you alright?" Luka asked, clearly not wanting to address the ramble that just came from his lips.

"I'm fine Luka, really. I'm worried about you," She responded, placing her hands upon his shoulders. "Please, is there anything that can calm you down? I don't want you getting akumatised," The bluenette asked, smiling at the boy in front of her.

Luka thought of one thing that could instantly make him feel better, but Marinette's lips were out of the picture for the time being. He pondered what they could do for a moment before finally coming up with an idea.

"How about we go see André? Ice cream makes everything better!" Luka exclaimed, his once tear-filled eyes now gleaming with excitement.

"André's it is then! C'mon, lets get a move on," Marinette replied, walking beside him as they made their way to André's bridge. As they strolled, Marinette couldn't help but feel relieved when Luka had calmed down. She saved him from being akumatised and it felt nice.

"Ah, Marinette! I see you have brought Mr Couffaine with you, how are you both?" André beamed, his strong Italian accent shining through his words. The two just smiled and nodded, before André served them each an ice cream.

Both of their desserts were three scoops tall but each had different toppings. They each looked back on what André had said to them.

"Luka, you shall have cherry chocolate chip for the hidden part of your soulmate, blueberry for her dark hair and blue bubblegum for her mesmerising eyes. To top it off, a strawberry, just like her lips both look and taste," he explained, piling the ice creams and toppings upon each other.

"And for you young Marinette, blackberry and blueberry swirl for his hair, blue lemonade for his icy eyes and dragonfruit for his pink lips. Finally, a chocolate flake for his favourite treat," He again elaborated, constructing the dessert and making it look perfect.

"Lucky you, you got my favourite!" Luka exclaimed, lightly punching her free arm. She piked her tongue out in response and grabbed the spoons that the ice cream connoisseur was holding out.

The each sat by the canal, exactly where they sat on the day that Luka showed Marinette the perfected melody. The two ate and made simple small talk before Marinette's phone dinged.

Adrien☂️: I am so so sorry about before Mari, Lila ran off as soon as it happened so I didn't get the chance to talk to her. Anyways, Father wants me home but I hope Luka is alright.

Marinette🌸: He's alright, we ended up getting ice cream at André's, Thanks for attenptjng to hang out today. I'm sorry about the awkward moment.

Marinette🌸: Attempting*

She turned off her phone and turned towards Luka who seemed to be staring at the water as it gently flowed through the canal. His icy blue eyes were closed as he hummed a melody that Marinette was unfamiliar with.

"That's new, what inspired that tune?" Marinette asked quizically, snapping Luka from his peacefulness.

"You," was all that he responded with. Marinette felt her face flush pink, but she was confused. He already had a melody for her, why make another.

"Say, don't I already have a melody?" She asked once again, trying to get a response. He just looked at her and smiled.

"Some things have changed since I made your last tune. It doesn't fit you as well as it did three years ago. I guess you will have to wait and see the finished product!" He exclaimed.

Marinette couldn't help but feel a pang in her chest. Was it a bad change? Did he see her differently now? She looked away from him and took a scoop from the dragonfruit scoop on her ice cream.

Her mind wandered to Adrien and her past feelings for him. When the accidental kiss happened today, she didn't feel anything. At most, she felt guilty for it happening in front of Luka. Perhaps she had just been in love with the idea of being with Adrien, rather than actually loving him.

But what did that mean for her? Did she know what being in love with someone felt like? Perhaps she had already found a love of her own, just like the one that her ice cream resembled. A boy with icy blue eyes and a kind heart that always put others before his self. There was only one problem.

Who matches her ice cream?
