14. Crash (part 2)

Perries Pov
The doctor came in with the results of my scans. I had broken my 12th vertebrae but they think my hip is in pain because of my back as there is no sign of injury. I needed an operation on my back tomorrow with her mam. She was going to come down. I told her not to worry about me and enjoy time with her family as she doesn't see them often.

Alex's Pov
It had been an hour since I had spoken to Perrie and I had finally been discharged. I went straight up to ICU to see if Perrie was still there. I was allowed straight in to see her where I found her sleeping. I still thought that this was all my fault and I was the one that had hurt her. Jesy and Leigh were stuck in traffic and would be here shortly.

A: Hi Deborah. Do you know what's wrong with Pez
D: Yeah sorry I forgot to text you
A: it's alright honestly
D: There is nothing wrong with her hip however she has broken her 12th vertebrae and has to have surgery tomorrow morning.
A: Okay.
D: I know you are still blaming yourslef it isn't your fault
A: I was the one driving
D: You didn't know the truck would crash into the car. She doesn't  blame you for any of this and neither does anyone else.
D: I think she's waking up

P: Yeah I'm awake I was just listening to use. Alex it isn't your fault so please stop blaming yourself. Anyways how r u
A: I'm fine. Just wish you were
P: I'll live honestly
Doctor: Miss edwards we are going to move you to a ward where we will monitor you until your operation

10 minutes later
D: I'm going to go see Jesy and Leigh there here.
P: Okay
Deborah leaves the room and Alex sits and holds Perries hand before kissing her forehead.

P: I was waiting for that
A: Do you need anything else
P: No I'm fine I just wish I could move
A: I know baby. I love you
P: Love u more
A: How is the pain
P: Better than before and it's easier to cope with when your here. Also how did my mam find out about it. Obviously she would know we wernt there but how did she know what had happened
A: I rang her when I was on my way here as I thought u would want her to know what happened.
P: You care to much about me
A: of course I do. I couldn't live without you and when your happy I'm happy.

Debotah comes in followed by Jesy and Leigh-Ann.

L: hi baba
P: Hi

Jesy starts crying

P: Jesy please don't cry I really am fine. It could of been a lot worse.
J: I know but why do the worst things have to happen to the nicest people.
D: Pez I'm going to go as you have a lot of company.
P: Okay love you. Can u also do us a favour or 2
D: Do you need anything
P: Could u bring me some stuff up
D: Yeah I'll see u soon

Jesy is making everyone laugh and succeeds.

J: hahaha
P: ha owwww
A: u alright baby
P: Yeah laughing hurts
A: Well maybe don't laugh
P: maybe
L: Pez Jade is FaceTimeing  me
P: Answer her then

JT: Hi Leigh can I speak to Pez
L: Yeah sure
JT: i wish i could be there baba
P: Its alright honestly. I'll see u soon
JT: Well I'm coming back south tonight because I want to see you
P: Jade you bearly see your family. U see me all the time. I'm sure they would want you to stay
JT: honestly they understand. They know how much you mean to me and they know I can see them another time
P: fine bye
JT: Bye

An hour later
Perries Pov
I was just lay doing nothing. The girls and Alex made great company and I was happy they were all here. My mam was on her way to drop me some stuff off and then go and see the dogs. Caitlin and Ellie had both been sending me cute messages and get well soon gifs. I couldn't wait until I could actually do something. We were all sat laughing and I couldn't feel my legs. The pain felt like nothing I had experienced before. I can cope with a lot of pain from doing performances when injured or ill but this was 10x worse.

Alex's Pov
We were all talking and trying to cheer Perrie up when she starts screaming. I had no clue what was going on with her but I knew something wasn't right.

A: Pez r u alright
P: no ahhhhh ahhhhh
A: What's wrong
P: I can't ahhh feel my legs

Jesy went to get help and the doctors came in and rushed Perrie away. I just hoped she would be okay.

5 minutes later
Deborah enters the room and is confused when she doesn't see Perrie. Leigh and Jesy a or on the verge of tears and I'm sat trying to calm myself down.
D: Where's Pez. What happened
L: 5 minutes ago she was in so much pain and couldn't feel her legs so they took her somewhere and said someone will come tell us what's going on soon

Doctor comes in
Doctor: Hello miss Edwards bac injury is worse then we thought. She is going to be having an emergency operation now and won't be back for a while. She might not be back up here till 4am. And only 1 person can wait from 10pm which is only 10 minutes away. Bye Bye

D: Alex you stay and wait she'd want you here
A: Sure she wouldn't want you. You mean a lot to her

D: No she needs you. Think about it u were involved in that crash as well however you have looked afte Perrie. You could have a leg hanging off and you would still care more about her. It's clear how much u love her and she loves u. I'm also going to go now to get the dogs as they won't know what is happening

A: Okay . I'll keep you updated
