Th best gift you could give to me,
Is simply for you to be happy.
But true happiness- not the false smile I often see,
The one that doesn't meet your eyes completely.
Not the sunken eyes, or the laugh that's hollow.
I want you to laugh the way you used to before all this sorrow.
To see your eyes sparkle again would mean more to me,
Than any gift you can buy with money.
But I know it's not your fault that you feel depressed,
Right now I can't expect you to feel your best.
But that is why my gift to you,
Is to be here by your side and to help you pull through.
