Roses...

This flower is truly beautiful,
It's crimson petals mesmerising all.

A symbol of love and romance,
It will surly leave you in a trance.

But beware for this flower isn't so sweet,
There's something about it the eyes don't quite meet,

For under the beauty is where the dangers are,
Thorns like knifes, certain to scar.

It reels you in with its flowery surface,
But is there an underlying purpose?

To attack you when you think you're secure,
And leave you bleeding on the floor.

So maybe love isn't a safe game,
Maybe love only leads to pain.
