Watch your back...

Following her everywhere she goes,
Always lurking in the shadows.

Eyes watching, never leaving,
But she still insists on disbelieving.

Until they came far too near,
And whispered darkly in her ear.

"Try to escape if you dare,
But wherever you go I'll be there"

So in this constant paranoid state,
Her sanity began to dissipate.

Everyone just thought that she was lying,
"Of course you're not in danger of dying."

What would it take for them to see?
Perhaps if she were to leave permanently.

Not long after this she was found dead,
But was it the follower, or the demons in her head?
