Short-lived tranquility...

Looking up at the cerulean sky,
I sit on the cool grass with a contented sigh.

At peace with the world as clouds drift by,
To say it wasn't beautiful would be a lie.

I take in the view of nature's grace,
And the thick grey fog so out of place.

The chirping birds, and the radiating sun,
Coupled with the distant shots of a gun.

The colourful concoctions nature displays,
Is enough to keep anyone in a tranquillised daze.

It's a shame that soon it won't be here,
I get up and leave as the fog draws near.
