Night rain...

My breath frosted as I gave a sigh,
Looking up into the dark indigo sky.

Hard to breath from the glacial air,
But still I tried not to care.

As I continued into the night,
I began to hear a faint pitter-patter so light.

The sound grew stronger as rain started to pour,
The icy droplets caused my vision to obscure.

As my surrounding area distorts,
The wind whispers twisted thoughts.

The bitter rain soaks my clothes,
Stinging like the thorns of a rose.

I feel my body tense and freeze,
This whole setting feels me with unease.

Not wanting to endure this frigid pain,
I go inside and leave the night rain...
