Chapter 20

Maddie's POV

I knew I shouldn't have mentioned the artwork. Ever since I did, he's been a bit more reserved in what he shares with me.

As we sit on the couch watching Identity Theft, I hesitantly cuddle up next to Liam.

I need to see his reaction so I can know if I've ruined this or not.

He puts his arm around me, immediately shooing all my fears away.

Liam makes me feel so at home. Whenever I'm with him, I get all warm and fuzzy and I don't think there's anyone else on the earth that makes me feel that way.

I start to wonder how far this "relationship" or whatever we are, is going to go. How long will it last? Am I gonna get my heart broken?

I don't want him to be my first heartbreak. I want him to be my only love.

I've never had a boyfriend before, just because all the guys I've met didn't seen like someone I'd want to be with, not that they'd like me anyways, I'm nothing special. I just want Liam to be my one and only boyfriend.

I begin to realize that I think I could be in love with this boy. Are we too young for that?

As Liam laughs at a joke the Melissa McCarthy makes on screen, I watch his warm, chocolate brown eyes light up and the skin underneath them crinkle. His beautiful, white teeth make an appearance as his perfect, pink lips stretch around them. He makes the cutest, giggly sound as he laughs at the joke.

I smile a small smile at him and he turns to me.

"What are you lookin at punk?" He says jokingly.

"Oh nothing, just the biggest goofball in the history of the Earth," I reply, nudging him a little.

"Oh yeah? Well do gOOFBALLS DO THIS?" He says, attacking me with tickles.

"AHHH LIAM AHAHSHDJSBHAHAHAHAH" I say squirming.

"ILL ONLY STOP IF YOU SAY IM NOT A GOOFBALL" He chuckles, still violently tickling me.

"HAHAHAHAHA FINE YOU'RE NOT A GOOFBALL HAHAHAHAHA," I admit reluctantly.

"Ok good," he smiles, pulling his hands away, "You're cute when you laugh though. I like it."

I blush and smile, "Thank you. You're cute when you laugh too."

At this point in time, when I look into his eyes, which remind me of a warm cup of hot chocolate, and he looks into mine, I decide that I am madly in love with Liam James Payne.
