Premise: Okay, so I originally was planning on having this be the last chapter but I have quite a few more blurbs so there's going to be at least one, if not two more chapters. But beware that there are time skips after every '******' so pay attention

5 months later

Lydia was in the shower while JJ was cooking dinner. Her belly had gotten huge in the past 5 months and they were right around her due date. They couldn't wait to finally meet the baby that they were already so deeply in love with. Suddenly, she felt a splash of extra water on her legs. It was then that she realized that her water had broken and that she was officially in labor.

Lydia stood in the shower for a minute, debating what to do. She could call JJ in and tell him to have everything ready by the time she gets out, or she can finish her shower in peace, and then tell JJ. She liked the second idea better because she had a feeling that JJ was going to slightly panic. So, she finished her shampooing and conditioning her hair and stepped out, throwing on her big fluffy bathrobe.

"Hey J?" Lydia called, looking for help reaching something

"Yeah, babe?" JJ popped his head in the door

"Can you go into that bottom drawer and grab me some underwear?" Lydia asked, knowing full well that this wasn't unusual, especially in the latter months of her pregnancy where she couldn't even reach her toes

"Here you go, love. How's the baby feeling?" JJ handed her what she needed and then sat down on the edge of their bed

"They're good. They'll probably be born sometime today or tomorrow" Lydia shrugged hoping that JJ could piece things together

"You're in labor?!!" JJ cried, immediately rushing around the room looking for things

"Hey" She stepped in front of him, holding his face with both hands, "Take a breather. My water broke in the shower, I've had one mild contraction. We already packed the go bag, just make sure you have some clothes for yourself, okay?"

"I cannot believe I am sitting here being comforted by my wife who is in active labor. Go sit down until we're ready to go" JJ grumbled and pointed to the bed, gesturing for Lydia to sit

"I'm pregnant, not disabled. And I'm also not technically at the active stage since they're too far apart" Lydia rolled her eyes and complied anyways since she could feel a contraction starting, this one slightly worse than the last.

"How long has it been since the first one?" JJ asked, rifling through their closet

"10 minutes" Lydia groaned, grabbing the side of the bed

"So when they get closer to 5 minutes apart we should go right?" JJ confirmed, almost done with the packing

"Yeah. We should call the pogues before we go too" Lydia nodded, the contraction has passed

By the time they had called their friends, and gotten the bag packed, Lydia's contractions were 7 minutes apart.

"Let's go have a baby" Lydia tried to smile, even though it looked more like a grimace

"Alright, love. Ready?" He held out his hands to help Lydia stand

They had luckily managed to get in the car before another contraction had started.

"You are so lucky I love you" Lydia groaned, squeezing JJ's hand

When they pulled up to the hospital, JJ wasted no time in jumping out of the car and bringing over a wheelchair, so Lydia didn't have to walk. They rode the elevator up to the labor and delivery ward, every so often Lydia's face contorted in pain.
