Premise: Kie is ready to return to the pogues after her Kook year with Sarah failed miserably
Lydia had been cleaning up the chateau, when she heard the screen door slam. She figured that it was boys returning from their surfing trip.
"I would've made lunch but there's no food" Lydia yelled, not bothering to look up
"Lydia?" Kie asked quietly
At the sound of her former best friend's voice, her head shot up to meet Kie's gaze
"What are you doing here?" Lydia probed, crossing her arms
"Um, I guess I just wanted to say that I'm sorry and that you guys were right about the kooks" Kie replied softly
"You're sorry?" Lydia scoffed, "Did you seriously expect that you could just come back in here and act like you didn't abandon us for kooks?"
"No but"
"I wasn't finished" Lydia cut Kie off, "You couldn't even send a fucking text when Big John went missing? You weren't there for John B, or any of us for that matter. You dropped us as soon as someone better came along"
To say Lydia was pissed, would be the biggest understatement in the world. If this were a cartoon, you'd see steam coming out of her ears. She couldn't believe that Kie would just show up here like the last year never happened and like she didn't completely ignore John B when his dad went missing.
"Lydia, please, I'm sorry. I was just trying to make my parents happy, you know that." Kie begged, she knew that it would be Lydia that would be the most hesitant to accept her back but she hadn't expected Lydia to explode the way she did
"Really Kiara? You're gonna sit here and blame it all on your parents? Newsflash, phones are these really cool handheld devices where you can call and text anyone from anywhere. Regardless of trying to make your parents happy, it wouldn't have killed you to have sent a text" Lydia fired back
"Where are the boys? Last time I checked, we do things like a democracy" Kie sighed, realizing she wouldn't be getting anywhere with Lydia
"You are so lucky they aren't here. Or this would've been a hell of a lot uglier" Lydia sneered
"What's that supposed to mean?" Kie crossed her arms
"Oh come on. You and I both know exactly why you asked for the boys. They're obsessed with you! You breathe in their direction and they're falling all over each other. Are you kidding me? They're gonna come up in here any second now, and welcome you with open arms because that's the way it's always been when it comes to you" Lydia ranted
And on cue, the three boys walked into the house
"Whoa, um, what did we just walk in on?" John B asked cautiously, the tension in the room was thick enough to cut with a knife
"Nothing, I was just leaving" Lydia pushed past the boys and walked out of the house
"I'm gonna..." JJ gestured to Lydia, indicating he was gonna go try and chat with her
"Lyds?" JJ called, approaching where the girl was sitting at the end of the dock
"If you're here to tell me to forgive her, then you can just go right back to where you came from" Lydia was not in the mood for the boys to try and convince her to take one for the team
"I just wanted to see if you were okay, and if you wanted to talk about it" JJ muttered
"I'm fine. It's just, she doesn't get to just come up in here like nothing happened. She dropped us like we were nothing JJ. I know this is stupid and I'll eventually let it go but seeing her today with her half assed apology, sent me over the edge" Lydia ran a hand over her face
"If it's important to you, then it's not stupid. But I really think you should try and hear her side of it. Are you really gonna drop your only friend that's a girl?" JJ nudged Lydia
"First of all, rude. Second of all, no, you're right. Mind sending her down?" Lydia realized it was now or never
Shortly after JJ left, Kie met Lydia down at the end of the dock. Apologies were shared, and Kie explained the events that lead to her ending her friendship with the Kook Princess, Sarah Cameron.

short lil one for y'all
it's not my favorite one or my best but I wanted to get something out for y'all since I've been working all week.
I have one more dramatic one shot for Lydia and then we'll move into the remaining treasure hunt (which I'm not sure how long it'll be, I'm gonna try and aim for 50 chapters minimum but we'll see)
I'm not opposed to writing a few more one shots if y'all have any ideas you want me to write but if not then I'll just do the last one I have planned
