"Good news for residents of the Outer Banks. Dominion Power says their underwater transmission line, which will restore power to 90% of the area should be functional within 24 hours. And still, no arrest in the shooting death of Sheriff Susan Peterkin. The state police have issued a statement regarding a local person of interest, a juvenile from-" Kie switched off the radio, the gang parked on a random side road, hiding from the manhunt for John B

"Let's game this out. Maybe you guys can help, being the smart ones and all, but who are the cops going to believe? Ward Cameron or us? So the accuser is a bigshot developer, kind of lord of the island, got the governor on speed dial kind of person, and the accused is John B, pretty much a homeless 16 year old boy at the moment" JJ mused

"Thanks" John B sarcastically replied

"Yucatan, all right? I'm saying that's the only option" JJ continued

"Enough with the Mexico bullshit. Sarah will bail me out" John B was certain his girlfriend would clear his name

"She did witness the whole thing" Kie replied

"And she's gonna snitch on her brother? Not happening, bro. We've gotta get you off the island" JJ continued plotting

Lydia didn't know what to think. She honestly couldn't come up with something productive to say that could help John B. She was too busy letting her own brain bully her into thinking that she was useless.

"The ferry. It's the only way. Exit stage left while you still can. Before the whole island is on lockdown" Pope added, the group ducking as another cop car passed them

"Sarah's not a pogue, John B" Kie said

"Yeah, you can't stay here" JJ agreed

Pope drove them to the docks, hopping out to check the schedule, only to quickly return to the car

"Pope, can you act normal?" Kie muttered

"So, um, bad news. The ferry's closed, and there's this" Pope replied, handing them a wanted poster with John B on it

"Well, John B, this is a good framer of you" JJ said, glancing at the paper

"Guys, we got to get to the HMS. We need small, no running lights-" Kie responded

"It's at the Chateau, Kie. And I wonder if the cops got the entire place staked out. Let me think. Oh yeah. No, they definitely have that place locked down" JJ responded sarcastically

It made Lydia's blood boil that he could act like nothing had happened, like he hadn't completely destroyed any self-confidence she had built up over the past year. She hated that he had that much power over her, but she couldn't do anything to stop it

"Let me think. Just give me a second" Pope paused, "JJ, does your dad still have that boat? The cigarette boat, the Phantom. The one he used to race"

"Maybe" JJ mumbled, not liking the thought of having to return to his home and face his dad

"You could get right up the coast, no problem" Pope said to John B

"It won't be easy, Pope. I don't know where the keys are" JJ responded

"Well find them" Pope urged, earning a swift kick to the shins from Lydia. This definitely confused the crew, that was the most they had gotten out of her in awhile.

Sure, Lydia was heartbroken. But that didn't mean her feelings for JJ and the care she felt for him had magically disappeared

"Why is nobody moving forward?" Pope asked, clearly panicking
