Can I trust his words again? What if those words are just like the words he said before?

Empty.

The words coming out from the mouth of someone when they're sad, the promises they made when they are happy and the harsh words they're throwing to someone when they're mad and hurt. Is that it?

I stared at Axel's broad back while he's checking out and paying for the hotel fee. He's wearing a black turtleneck fitted long sleeve sweater in an underneath of gray blazer, and he paired it with the black slacks. He standing confidently while talking to the staff, if last night he's smiling friendly, now he's showing his straight poker face.

I think he's more attractive at that way!

We check out at the hotel when the morning comes, alas siete pa lang at umalis na kami. Tahimik akong sumunod at tahimik din akong naupo at hindi nagsasalita sa tabi nito na focus naman na ang mga mata sa pagd-drive.

After our talk last night, this morning I don't know how would I face him. Luckily, he didn't open up thetopic again but the silence we are in? I can't stand it any longer. Lalo pa akong hindi mapalagay nang magsimula na kaming ma-stuck sa traffic.

Dahil suguro pasko, traffic pa kaya mukha mapapatagal pa lalo ang byahe namin.

It takes minutes before the way became smooth again and we were still on a long drive. Tahimik parin at uncomfortable. I just want to arrive there faster. Bakit ba parang ang tagal naman?

"Where do you want to eat?" He asked while pulling over. "I'll drive to the near restaurant."

I didn't look at him and decided to just wander my eyes around outside of the car, pinipilit ko na lang ang sarili ko na i-enjoy ang view na nadadaanan namin sa labas kesa mapunta sa isang awkward na sitwasyon.

"Hindi ako gutom." Sagot ko agad.

But then, my stomach betrayed me. Kumalam ito na mahina ni siyang kinatawa. I glared at him secretly but he just looked at me smiled. It made my heart flinched because of sudden smile he mad. Wait heart, kumalma ka.

"Fine. Anywhere will do."

When I said anywhere, he really brought me to somewhere near to where we are. Tahimik akong umorder ng napili kong dish sa menu at tahimik din na kumain. Pansin ko lang na this time he's the one who's making move to have a conversation with me, breaking the silence.

"Ano ang pet peeves mo?" He suddenly asked on our way back to the car.

Seriously? He will really going to ask those kind of questions now?

I raised a brow while keeping my slow walking pace, which he's keep on following. Is he that desperate to have a topic with me?

"Chewing loudly," I answered, I faced him with a furrowed forehead. "Why are you interested? Crush mo ba ako?" Hindi ko mapigilan na tanong habang naniningkit ang mata sa kan'ya.

He's just staring at me for a moment while chewing his inside cheeks to suppress a smile and laugh.

Nalaglag ang panga ko nang marealized ko ang sinabi at tinanong ko rito. I fake a cough before  I walked fast, leaving him there while laughing quietly. Syempre dahil mahaba ang mga biyas niya kesa sa akin, naabutan niya rin agad ako.

Sumakay na ako sa kote at sinara narin ito, I tried to shrug him off like what I'm always does but seeing him sitting beside me and driving, napailing na lang ako sa katotohanan na hindi ko maalis ang tingin ko sa kan'ya.

Come on, Sachleia! You can pretend to doesn't care about him anymore like you did before.

He removed his blazer and put it at the back of the car, dahil inistretch nito ang braso niya sa paglapag d'on at halos magdikit na kami, I stiffed after smelling his familiar smell. Dahil sa sobrang gulantang ko sa ginawa niya, he went closer to me to put the seatbelt properly.
