"Welcome to the last day of the TBC Tournament Trainer battles! Today we have our Top 8 trainers fighting for that number 1 spot! A battle with Diantha for the title of Pokemon Champion!" The emcee announced happily
The crowd started to cheer loudly, Bonnie, Ash, Brock and Trip looked around the Stadium, seeing the thousands of people watching, cheering loudly
"If everybody could look at the Big screen! we have the list of trainers and their opponents Battling today!"
A staff member gently pushed Trip to stand at the doors that led outside the field, Ash gave him A thumbs up
"Our first Opponents! Gary and Trip!" The emcee announced
Trip and Gary started to walk out of the opposite sides, this got the Crowd Roaring, Gary and Trip reached their places
"This will be an interesting battle indeed! A battle between The Famous professor Oaks Grandson! And the trainer that was able to face Alder Head on!" The emcee brought up
This made the Crowd cheer louder, The Referee then walked up to them
"This is a Battle between Gary and Trip, this will be a 4 v 4 battle, substitutions are allowed, mega evolution is allowed, and the last Pokemon Standing will secure the place of the Trainer in the Top 4" the Referee announced,
There was a moment of Silence before the Referee called
"Bring out your first Pokemon!"
"Jellicent!" Trip Called out
"Umbreon!" Gary Called out
"And here we have it folks! On the Red side, Trip Sent out his Jellicent! His Jellicent has a reputation of easily dodging attacks! His Jellicent defeated a strong skarmory in the early battles in one hit! After dodging the attacks he landed such a clean hit! I wonder how well Jellicent will be able to go up against Gary's Umbreon?! Gary's no.2!" The Emcee hyped
The crowd went wild at the Emcees enthusiastic demeanor, Everyone watched and cheered at their battle, attacks being fired left and right, Neither of them giving up the first round, They were giving it their all,
"Jellicent Ominous wind!" Trip called, "Umbreon counter with foul Play!" Gary countered, Both attacks hit, such impact caused smoke to appear on the field, covering the trainers and their Pokemon
"after exchanging a fair amount of blows will this take out the very first Pokemon in the top 8?!" The emcee exclaimed, the crowd going quiet as the smoke on the field slowly disappeared, there it was, the standing Pokemon, the first survivor of the first battle in the top 8
"Jellicent is unable to battle!" The referee loudly called out, making the crowd roar "Red side please send out your next Pokemon!" the referee said out loud, and that, is how the battle to the top took it's first victim
The battle continued, Pokemon after Pokemon, attack after attack, until it was finally Trip and Gary's last Pokemon up against each other "Here it is folks, both Trip and Gary are on their Last Pokemon's!" The emcee said out loud, this made the crowd roar louder than before
"Serperior against Blastoise!! who will prevail?!" The Emcee hyped, "Serperior use solar beam!" "Blastoise counter with Hydro Cannon" Both trainer's called out, Both attacks collided in the middle of the field, making a huge explosion, and yet, Serperior's solar beam went through, landing a hit on Blastoise
"Blastoise use Water Gun!" Gary quickly countered "Serperior Dodge it!" Trip said, not giving up easily, Both Pokemon fought their hardest for their trainers, Serperior dodging everything it's opponent sends it, while Blastoise fires his attacks at it's opponent continuously, Both wanting their Trainers to move onto the next Round
As their Pokemon battled, Their Trainers were smiling, having fun with the situation, Enjoying the sight of each other's strength, treating this battle as a learning experience,
finally, Blastoise was able to Land a hit "Serperior!" Trip called out in worry "I must admit Trip, you've definitely grown stronger" Gary said aloud, enough for Trip to hear, Trip looked at him and smiled "I Trained hard" he said, proud of his progress "I'm Glad, cause it definitely paid off, but that's just it" Gary smirked, gently reaching into his pocket
Trip sweat dropped, already knowing what Gary was proudly Yapping about "You May have trained hard, but it simply isn't enough" Gary said, pulling out the Keystone in his pocket a Light shining from the stone, eventually making lines of light, that soon connected to The Mega stone on Blastoise's neck,
"We have a Bond like no other, and for that, we are strong, BLASTOISE MEGA EVOLVE" Gary Called out, Blastoise now being engulfed in a bright light, Trip grit his teeth and quickly called out "Use Vine whip!", Quickly Serperior sent it's vines in the direction of the shelled water Pokemon, but before it hit "Blastoise use Hyper Cannon!"
The Hyper Cannon defended Blastoise from Serperior's Vines, the collision made a small explosion that made smoke cover The young professor's Grandson,
A strong gust of wind then blew the smoke out of the way, revealing Mega evolved Blastoise, and Gary with the most intimidating smirk he can muster "Blastoise Use roll out!" Gary said "Serperior Dodg-" It was too late, Blastoise already hit Serperior, in a flash, Serperior was slammed against the wall, Trip stood there shocked
Eyes wide, mouth agape, and body frozen, what shook him awake was these words
"SERPERIOR IS UNABLE TO BATTLE! BLASTOISE WINS! GARY OAK WINS THE FIRST ROUND!"
Trip turned around just to see his partner, swirls in it's eyes, and damaged all over, he walked over to his partner, gently Hugging it "You.. did so well out there, Thank you.. Serperior" He thanked sincerely, before Returning Serperior back in it's Poke ball,
Both Trainers made their way into the Middle and smiled at each other "To think I'd be the first out is pathetic" Trip Chuckled, Gary chuckled back as he pat his shoulder "You fought hard" Gary said with a smile, Trip couldn't help but tear up at his words, looking down and letting some tears drop
Gary gently slung his arm around his shoulder, waving to the crowd, who was by now roaring, and made their way back through Gary's side, The announcer saying some things, that both trainers managed to shut out, as they both stepped inside,
Paul who was on The Blue side along with Gary, quickly made his way over to His boyfriend, engulfing him in a loving hug "You did so well.." He whispered, this just made Trip cry more, burying his face into his boyfriend's shirt
"1 down.. 6 more"
