[timeskip to Christmas day]

it was around six thirty am, and jungkook was in the room with taehyung.

taehyung did not want to sleep in his pajamas, so he slept in his boxers and jungkook had to put his pajamas on now.

they were in a cabin, with taehyung's family also.

both of their families were together, since they became close from their relationship.

and, taehyung's sister came back for christmas, because she's twenty two and is in college.

"do you want to go see what you got for christmas bubba?"

"mhm."

taehyung put his pacifier in his mouth, rubbing his eyes before grabbing jungkook's hand and walking downstairs.

"hi taetae! merry christmas!" jungkook's mother yelled, pulling taehyung in for a hug.

taehyung smiled, sitting in jungkook's lap.

taehyung's sister waved at taehyung, so he waved back.

he honestly didn't even care about her that much anymore.

she was mean to him when they were younger.

jungkook kissed him repeatedly, making him giggle.

"i love you baby,"

"i love you too daddy."

"here buddy. it's chocolate milk," taehyung's father spoke, handing him the water bottle.

"thank you papa."

"you're welcome. jungkook, would you like some?"

"nah, i'm okay."

"do you want to take a nap while the others open presents? i'll wake you up when it's your turn." jungkook asked, rubbing circles on taehyung's back.

"mhm."

"okay, drink your milk and go to sleep baby."

jungkook put the blanket on him, making sure he was comfortable in his lap.

taehyung laid on jungkook's chest, taking small sips as he struggled to keep his eyes open.

he stopped drinking, his eyes closing as he went to sleep.

jungkook took the straw out of his mouth, replacing it with his pacifier.

"sleepy baby bear, you're so cute."

he kissed him once more before letting him sleep, patting his back.

they got through all the adults and jungkook and sungjin, so it was taehyung's turn.

"open it baby."

taehyung opened it, eyes lighting up.

"what did you get bubba?"

taehyung picked the items up, showing them to jungkook.

"you got more necklaces, wow baby."

"thank you."

"you're welcome tae," sungjin replied.

taehyung picked up another present, which was from jungkook.

"this one is from me bub."

taehyung opened the box, his eyes widening.

"see, it's pacifiers and the clips that go to it. do you like them, bubba?"

"thank you dada!" he yelled, kissing jungkook.

"you're welcome baby."

their christmas morning was exciting, unlike last year.

"my sister is a bitch."

oh, the memories.

the beautiful, beautiful memories.

before taehyung flatlined completely and had to restart.

like, he had to go through all of the therapy again.

and he's still not the same, but it's okay.
