WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO UPDATE THIS STORY?

[SYNOPSIS: I am not satisfied with how this story was turning out. So I started over with the same concept, but like (holy shit) 5 more years worth of writing experience.

I've had to answer this question a lot lately, and it's gotten to the point where saying it directly to whoever is asking is getting a bit redundant so I'll lay a couple of my cards out for all of you wonderful readers who are still interested in this story:

I started writing this when I was thirteen or fourteen, and I like to think I've grown a lot since then. Honestly, I can't even read this story because it just makes me squirm; it meets absolutely none of my current standards or personal expectations and I honestly felt like the hole I dug this story into is too deep to crawl out of.

That being said, I am just as much in love with the concept as I was when I first started. I absolutely refuse to abandon the ideas in this story just because I sort of fell down a path with it that I'm now unsatisfied with. Bottom line is that this story will not be updated again, I'm just too unhappy with the way my younger self chose to go about the plan I had for the story.

BUT.

Like I said, it's a wonderful concept and guys, there are still so many things you have yet to see from these characters (HUGE game-changing plot twists), and I wanted to start clean. So I did. I'm sorry this version of events won't be concluded, but I'm infinitely happier already with how the revised version is coming along and I'd love for you all to give it a chance. Aside from the names and writing style improvements, at its core the concepts are identical and you can expect the same story. The name of the book is the same, it's on my profile, got a shmancy new cover and everything.

We've still got Wildlings and Witches and dragons and some lovely plot twists I'm SO excited to get the chance to finally share with you, but now we also get that now signature Kira Greer Fae-lore and some backstory development that this version was just really lacking.

If you think for a second that you should be mourning this story at all, I'd absolutely challenge you there and damn near promise that you can and should expect more out of the revised edition.

I'm working on continuing the revised edition, in addition to some other works right now, and unfortunately also just trying to work against some faulty brain chemistry, but IT. IS. NOT. FORGOTTEN. Updates may be a little slow, especially because I don't pre-write my chapters (I publish as soon as I think the chapter is ready to read), but it is one of my writing priorities right now. I think you guys will love it.

Sorry that was so damn long, but I am honestly just really passionate about rewriting some of my earlier work because I think we all see the potential in the ideas, and I want to make sure the story I'm giving you is the best version of the concept. I hope to see you over there <3 KG
