They say feeling is healing

They say feeling is healing. Yeah, This very moment Dean Winchester was healing. Healing from the loss, the pain, the agony and every other things that haunted him in the night. He was in bliss, pure bliss.

Dean thought if enveloping, shielding his daughter, his own blood and flesh meant this joy, he would do that the moment they met. Yes, he was sad for her, he could understand the pain she was feeling cause at the age of four he lost his mother too but he also knew from now on, no one would get to hurt her. No one. And he would die before he let anyone touch her.

The sound of Fayre's crying was lessening little by little. Only sniffing could be heard and a few minutes later it stopped too. After breaking free from Dean she looked up. Her eyes were still wet from tears, she tried to dry those with her sleeves.

Taking a deep breath she said,"I am sorry for lashing out".

"It's alright", Dean softly said.

It was a little awkward situation since everyone had a lot to say but nobody had a word for it.

So Fayre broke the silence asking, "What are you going to do now?"

Exhaling Dean looked at Sam. They were both debating if they should tell the truth. Well, there wasn’t a choice anyway. If they lie right now, the trust would be broken for forever and neither of the Winchesters wanted that.

Sam tried to tell her, "Listen, I know this is all new. But there's something you need to know".

Fayre could tell that it was serious. So her mind was filling with different scenarios. She quickly said,

"You didn’t tell your wife and now you're afraid?"

Both Sam and Dean was confounded. They were expecting something but not this. Wife!!!! It was too much.

"I am not married", Dean stated with a sour expression.

"Ooo....then what?", now she was confused.

"We are....um...we don’t have normal job", Sam hesitantly said.

"That's it!", she seemed relieved.

Dean looked at her with one brow rising. So she cleared saying further,

"I don’t care. I respect every hard working job, I promise", she said with a lovely smile.

And that moment Dean Winchester's heart melted. But still he couldn’t act on it cause in the end the misunderstanding should be cleared.

"No, we meant we don’t have a regular job. You know like.....", before Dean could begin his fumbling, Sam ended up saying,

"We hunt monsters"

If look could kill someone, Sam would be 6 feet under for sure.

A minute passed, then another one. Fayre blinked once, twice. First they thought she didn’t hear him. But seeing her too calm expression they knew she heard loud and clear.

"Monster? As in Sullivan and Wazowski", Fayre asked.

Dean and Sam were confused now. They hunt so many monsters in their life, if they wrote a list, it would be endless. But never ever they heard something like Sullivan and Wazowski.

"Werewolves and vampires?", she tried again watching their confused state.

Now this was something they knew too well. So they both nodded.

"WHAT!!!!!!”, She shrieked happily before saying,

"They are really real!!!!"

This girl was surprising them every minute with her behaviour. All these years whenever they told someone the truth about the supernatural creatures, the reaction was different each time. Some was afraid, some was shocked, some even cried. But no one ever shrieked with happiness.

"Why are you so happy? There’s nothing to be happy about", Dean said totally bewildered.

"Vampires", she said with dream like voice.

Both the Winchesters were full on panic now. Did she know any vampires?

"Aren’t they cool? Oh....how much I want to marry one", she said murmured dreamily.

Was she nuts? Marry a vampire!!! Dean couldn’t take it anymore he almost shouted,

"What the hell are you talking?"

The girl jumped from the sudden outburst of her father. So he said again with much more calm tone this time because he didn’t want to scare her the first time of their meeting with shouting,

"What are you talking about?"

"Huh?"

"You said you want to marry a VAMPIRE"

"Oh", realisation dawned to her. She didn’t mean to say that aloud. It was just a fantasy. But she did and now everyone thought she had a nut loosed in her brain, she thought to herself.

"I was talking um...about characters. Yeah, characters", she smiled nervously.

Eyeing her suspiciously Sam asked, "What characters?"

"It's from a tv show. But you are going off the topic. Do you really hunt monsters?"

Clearly getting distracted from vampires, They nodded.

"Wow, you guys must be very brave to do that for living", she said.

Dean was feeling a little happy seeing his daughter's impressed face.

"But you aren’t afraid?", Dean asked.

"I should be but I am not. I mean I am overwhelmed but not really afraid", she shrugged.

Both Sam and Dean didn’t said anything. What was to say? Her not feeling afraid had both it's perks. Good thing was she could live without any fear. Bad thing was if the ugly truth about monsters didn’t dawn to her now, it would never and that would definitely make her vulnerable. The atmosphere was getting tensed so Fayre said,

"So now everything's got cleared up, I guess we should introduce ourselves properly this time and you know, get to know each other"

Smiling Sam started first, "My name is Sam Winchester".

"Dean Winchester at your service", winking a little he said, definitely getting more accustomed with his daughter.

Clearly amused Fayre said, "See there’s one thing we have common already".

Smiling big she clarified, "I am Fayre Dean Aubriana Stratton"

A random song was playing in the car. The person who was driving it, was bobbing his head up and down with the tune. But the rhythm cut off when his phone rang loudly. Groaning he answered it. Only his side of conversation could be heard,

"Hello......uhu.....WHAT!!!!!.....how? I just got here......fu*k, she was alright then.......okay, I'll do it......boss won't be happy about it......you think I DON'T KNOW THAT......fine".

The screeching sound of car turning back was the only noise in the cold dark night. After that it was quiet like the calm before the storm.
