As I get dressed for my date I wonder where Tobias could possibly be taking me. My last date with him had been the best in my life and it had been perfect until my father showed up.
Tonight I am wearing a pink skater skirt and a sequin top. It's not very me but it looks nice and I don't want to look weird. I wonder what Tobias will wear?
When the doorbell rings I rush down stairs. Luckily my family is out tonight and they think I will be staying home.
I open the door with a smile that only becomes a frown. What is he doing here? He always has to show up at the wrong time!
"Going out?" Leighton raises an eyebrow.
"It's none of your business. What do you want?" I try not to growl.
"I saved you Tris. Don't go all rude about it or you could have died." Leighton reminds me. I can just remember Tobias's face when he found out that Leighton had saved me. It was full of betrayal.
"What are you doing here?" I sigh.
"I want to take you out some time." He shrugs and I gasp. "I know we never went on a date and I am sorry for that. I want to treat you better Tris by starting over."
His words are so intimidating. I want to agree so bad. I want him so bad. But I want Tobias even more.
"What's going on here?" Tobias's voice comes from behind Leighton.
"I'm sorry but I don't want to start over Leighton." I say quickly and walk over to Tobias. He puts a protective arm around me and we walk away from Leighton. I hope to god that is the last time I have to walk away from him.
