Segment 38

I know as soon as that ended that what happened in that period was just history. It was just a passing phase. Tobias and I aren't ready to get back together and if we ever do at all, our relationship will need time to heal.
After school, Marlene takes me out to a movie and I end up balling my eyes out. It is a movie about child abuse and the kid ends up dead. Marlene and I go for ice cream afterwards to cheer ourselves up.
As we enter the ice cream shop I turn back around as quickly as I can but I am too late.
"Hey Tris! How are you? We were all so worried when you were kidnapped." Jake comes over and hugs me. Cooper joins us and I sigh in relief when I notice Leighton is not here.
"Yeah. Sure." I mumble.
"Hey, what's your name beautiful?" Cooper looks Marlene up and down and she rolls her eyes.
"I only date bad asses and you obviously don't meet the requirements." She flirts and I giggle. Cooper and Jake laugh too. I hope she remembers that her boyfriend is Uriah.
"Bad ass doesn't even describe me baby." Cooper snickers.
"Prove it." Why is she doing this? I give her a look but she ignores me.
Cooper takes Marlene's hand and takes her outside, leaving me with Jake. Great.
"So just you and me. Like old times." Jake snakes an arm around me and I cringe. I really don't want to be near him right now. His breath smells of alcohol and he only brings back bad memories.
"What happened to you Tris? You used to be so much fun? Dirty dancing on table tops, maybe even naked for a dare. You would do anything."
"Yes well I grew up."

~~~FLASHBACK~~~
"Dauntless." I say, drunk off my ass. It's my third party this week and I have had a non stop hangover. Meagan has been by my side the whole time with everything like the vomitting and headaches. If my parents saw me now I would be grounded for a year and we would probably move to Antarctica.
"Dirty dancing on the table, naked." Cooper snickers and some people say "ooh."
"Simple." I laugh and get to my feet only to stagger so I grab onto the table for support.
"Wait! That's not all. You have to dance with Jake." Cooper laughs and they all join in. We are all so drunk it doesn't even matter anymore. Jake stands and climbs onto the table. I'm lucky Leighton isn't here tonight. Otherwise he would kick Jake's ass for being near me or touching me.
Cooper cranks up the music as Jake begins to undress me but we are so drunk it just becomes so difficult that I end up leaving my underwear on.
My luck runs out when I notice Cooper videoing the entire performance.
