This one was a request from @tucketernelle :) Hope I did it justice!

Finals week is coming up, and I'm HELLA STRESSED. My AP English final is Monday, which happens to be the hardest class I have by far. I decided to pace my studying, as not to overwhelm myself. I sit on my bed with all of my books and papers, put in my earbuds, and turn on the spring awakening soundtrack.

As "Word of Your Body" begins to play, I begin to freak out more and more. It seems as though the questions on my review packet get harder and harder with each song that plays. I start to lose track of my breathing, causing a feeling like my heart is pounding out of my chest. The stress kept me from noticing that Ben was in the doorway, calling my name.

"Y/N, you okay? Y/n......."

He sat on the bed next to me, putting his large hand on my shoulder. The sudden feeling made me jump. I looked over to see him, a worried vibe washed over his face. I took out the earbuds and set my papers down to face him, my heart slowing as I tried to think of words to say.

"Hey. Are you okay?" Ben said, his hand moving down torwards mine. He held my palm in his, using his thumb to trace circles over the back of my hand.

"I'm fine. It's just- AP English." I lift the papers, all marked over with pens and highlighter. He takes the stack from my hand and carries it over to the small bookshelf in the corner.

"Take a minute. Breathe. Come on, put on your shoes" he orders, his voice stern yet warming. I did as directed, throwing on my white converse high-tops. He once again took my hand, leading me downstairs and outside.

"Where are we going?" I said. Our walk to what I thought would be the car had been going on for about 10 minutes.

"For a short stroll, if you will. It'll clear your mind."

My small fingers were clasped between his as we walked on the wide sidewalk, passing trees and flowers. We walked in pretty much silence, no sounds other than the chirp of small spring birds and Bens humming. The humming soon turned into a soft singing, his voice so comforting and light. I rest my head on his shoulder, breathing in with the tune of the song.

We stopped at a playground, empty as all the elementary kids were still in school. I immediately headed torwards the swings, Ben following my action. I sat in the rubber seat, assuming my boyfriend would do the same. Rather than this, he went to the small green slide. Mind you, he is about 6'1 and the slide cant be longer than about 3 feet. Still, he throws his legs in front, sits on the plastic, and ducks his head under the small arch over top of the playset. A giggle escapes my mouth as he attempts to slide down though his feet are practically touching the ground below him. He takes notice of this, contuing to play on the equipment made for someone a quarter of his age and height. I laugh more and more as he plays on the different parts of the playground, almost snorting while he walked across the monkey bars.

A nearby school bell rang, both of us deciding now would be a good time to end our small adventure. We walked back to my house hand in hand as both of us chuckled at the moments previously shared. We reached my house, where he stopped at the door.

"Dont let finals stress you out so much, you'll do great."

He gave me a long hug, kissing the top of my head.

"Thank you. I needed that. All of that"

I blew a kiss as I stepped inside the door, him walking to his car. With the newfound calmness, I went back to studying, taking Bens words into consideration and not pressuring myself too much.

Authors note: I hope you liked this one! Its very short and sweet-just like this reminder. DO NOT OVER WORK YOURSELF BEFORE FINALS! Yes, I recommend you study but do not cause yourself to have a panic attack. Take a break, throw on your shoes and go for a walk. Go play on some swings. Take a moment to yourself and dont feel guilty about it. XOXO, Fawna :)
