- 15 Weeks Pregnant -

It's been 2 weeks.

It has been 2 weeks since I left Justin and I still felt like crap anytime I thought about him. It has also been 2 weeks since I moved in with my mom and her new family and they had made me feel more at home here than I ever felt with Justin. Maybe that was because I was with my mom, but either way, I was happy here.

I had also finally opened up and told Ashley everything. Talking to her without Krystal had been hard but it had to happen eventually and it was a good talk. She had also mentioned Connor and how different he was. He was graduating from high school this coming year and had finally grown up. She also said he was practically friendless when all his buddies got girlfriends and he needed a new crowd.

So when she had proposed bringing him over to hang out with us, I had agreed.

Now, as I was getting ready and attempting so hard to cover my now very obvious baby bump, I was completely regretting agreeing to this meeting.

When I read online that twins popped faster than one, I didn't totally believe it, but twins really popped. Two weeks ago, hiding my belly was easy as long as I wore loose fitting clothes, but now I could barely hide it under anything. No matter what I wore, you could very visibly see that I was pregnant.

Then the doorbell rang and I started to panic. I hadn't told Ashley and I used to date Connor. What do I tell them when I walk out with a massive pregnant belly and no boyfriend to show for it?

Then somebody knocked on my bedroom door. I grabbed a pillow off my bed and clutched it to my stomach, "Yeah?"

The door creaked open and Cody's perfect little head popped in, "You have guests."

I nodded, "I'll be right out."

He bit his lip and nodded then stepped into the room, "You don't have to be nervous, you know."

He didn't know, did he?

"Just because you haven't spoken in a while doesn't mean they're not your friends anymore."

I slightly nodded, "Right, thanks." Then Cody sighed and crossed his arms.

"Whats wrong with you lately?"

I clutched the pillow a little tighter and shrugged, "What do you mean?"

"You've been a lot more distant. Like," He paused and sighed, "When you first got here I saw you every day. I haven't seen you in a few days now."

"Oh," I shrugged and sat on my bed, "I've just been busy."

"You sit in here all day."

I smiled and shook my head, "Then, I'm depressed."

He sighed and smiled a litte, "Then go see your friends." I slowly nodded and smiled at him then he turned and left the room. As soon as the door clicked closed I let out a breath that I had been subconsciously holding.

I grabbed my baggiest hoodie and pulled it over my head. I glanced over to my full sized mirror and noticed my bump right away. I rolled my eyes and ran my hands over my hair.

There was no more hiding for me. Now, everything would be out in the open.

I pulled my bedroom door open and walked down the hall, into the living room where my Mom was standing with Ashley and Connor. They were all smiling and laughing at something and when I walked into the room my mom grinned at me and held her arms open.

"Speak of the devil!" She laughed, "Get over here. We were just reminiscing the days when you all used to come here and watch movies. God, the hours I spent making you guys food."

I sighed and a small smile grew on my face, "Krystal ate most of it." When everybody fell silent I bit my lip, "But that doesn't matter now. Come on, guys. Let's go out back."

They both nodded and followed me out the back door. I led them to the small clubhouse we all used to hang out in. Or, me and Connor used to go to make out and Ashley and I used to go to gossip.

When we got in and I sat down on the floor they both did the same, closing the door behind us.

Ashley was the first to speak, per usual, "So I have missed you." She mumbled, "And I know you've been busy lately but that is no excuse to leave you friends on the backseat."

"I know," I mumbled, "And I'm sorry. I really am. I didn't think it would matter if I left you guys for a while." Then i bit my cheek and shrugged, "I knew you would be able to wait for me while I sorted my life out. My baby and," I glanced at Connor, "Fiancé needed me more than you did."

Ashley reached across and grabbed my hand, "But we need you now." Then she choked up a little, "And you need us."

I bit my lip and nodded, tears starting to form in my eyes too.

"Im going to need you guys a lot more soon," Then I sighed and grabbed the hem of my sweater, clutching it in my fist, "Im pregnant,"

Ashley didn't look surprised. I hadn't expected her too. Krystal had probably called and told her right after I had told Krystal. Connor, on the other hand looked pleasantly surprised.

"Congrats, S," He mumbled, "Are you happy?"

I slowly nodded and touched my belly, "Yeah. Im happy."

"How far?"

"15 weeks." I mumbled sheepishly, "And its twins."

That made both of their eyes widen. Ashley immediately crawled across the room and pressed her hands on my tummy.

I teared up and they both laughed. Connor closed the gap and sheepishly pressed a hand on my belly too. As we all cried and laughed, Ashley started thinking up baby names.

******

I closed the front door behind them and turned around to press my back against the cool wood. Cody chose that moment to walk around the corner waving a glass around in his hand. He paused when he saw me and smiled.

"He Sis," He mumbled, "Good get together?"

I slowly nodded and sighed, "Yes, very good." I glanced down and noticed my hoodie bubbling out near my belly, "Im going to go to bed."

"Its like, 9 o'clock."

I shrugged, "Im like an old lady. Go to bed early. wake up at 6 to feed my cats." I gave him a small side smile.

He grinned, "So that's why your room is so messy." He chuckled and when I flipped him the bird he held up his hands in surrender, "Im kidding."

I smiled and shook my head, "Really, Im going to bed." I took a few steps to get past him then felt his hand grab my arm. I quickly spun around and looked him in the eye.

He was staring at me so intensely I thought he might see right through me. But it was a different look than a brother would give his sister. He was placing between my eyes... and my... lips?

He slowly loosened his grip on me and then let his hand drop, "I'm glad you're here. There's too much testosterone in this house."

I gave him a weak smile and sighed, "I'm glad I'm here too." Then, before I did anything stupid, I left him, because the last thing I needed right now was something complicated.

My life is already complicated enough.
